Isaac Bay

You need a four-wheel-drive vehicle to get here, but it's well worth the trip to this scenic and secluded beach, perfect for swimming, and a barrier reef for snorkeling.

Reviewed By OregonLawyer

The hike to Isaac's is really easy--only 0.5 miles and pretty flat. The beach is nice. But go another mile or so to Jack's and I thought the beach was even better, and the bay better protected for better snorkeling. If the sea is calm you won't need fins, but if it's rough at all don't go out very far without fins. The hike from Isaac's to Jack's is moderate with a big hill, but I'd say "moderately easy" for anyone in decent physical condition. I'll repeat what other's have posted: park up by Pt Udall, take EVERYTHING out of your car, and leave it unlocked. We hiked into Jack's twice and didn't have any trouble at all. Bring MORE WATER than you think you will need because this hike is a scorcher--this is desert hiking--imagine Phoenix with a beautiful view of the ocean. Both beaches are beautiful; there were a few more people on Isaac's just because it's a shorter hike, but both days that we spent at Jack's we only saw a few other people. Can't wait to go back to do this hike again in a couple months!

Awesome Hike with Awesome Views! I recommend tennis shoes or hiking boots. Best for early morning or late afternoon as it gets hot-amazing views. Landscape dotted with cactus along the way. Our favorite hike while in St John! Hit the Salt Pond beach afterwards! Others have provided information on where to park and how to get to the hike. Very cool to cross over the Blue Cobblestone Beach on the way up!

This is a beautiful tropical garden with views overlooking the water. Make sure to use Google maps to find it! The current hours are weekends only (which we didn't know until we called on a Monday), but the owner was close by and actually let us come in for a private experience! The owner was so friendly and accommodating, sharing her love for gardening and knowledge of plants. You'll also get to spot some local birds, banaquits and hummingbirds. Such a beautiful place, I would definitely recommend visiting on your next trip to St. Thomas!

Frenchtown Brewing Company

The Virgin Islands only 3 barrel nano brewery, located in the quaint fishing village of Frenchtown on St. Thomas, invites you to tour and sample their island hopped craft beers. Visiting hop heads are welcome to stop by for a tour and taste of the seasonal brews and go with their favorites in a refillable stainless steel growler perfect for the beach. Our beers are on draft around the island.

Reviewed By Ryanbeerlover - Avon, United States

Called and they were more than happy to allow us to pick a time that suited us to come to the brewery for a tasting. This attic-of-a-brewery is a true small pearl in a sea of over-saturated breweries. Kevin has a bright future in the world of brewing and his future expansion project will, no doubt, be a great success. We so much appreciated that he opened his doors to us and shared his passion and story telling about beer making and drinking in St Thomas and Belgium. We even took him up on his local restaurant recommendation and, not surprisingly, it was the best meal of our trip. Thanks again from your newest fans and friends from Colorado. Cheers!

The beach offers a very calm bay with excellent snorkeling, turtles, stingrays and an array of assorted fish. Food Truck and clean bathrooms available along with ample parking.

Private beach where you are greeted by a friendly owner who will offer free parking and then suggest a donation when you leave. This was a nice way to conduct business. They provide a couple of porta potties and some chairs on the beach. There are some small palms for shade on the beach. The snorkeling was just amazing here with turtles, squid, rays, a shark and plethora of tropical fish (tangs, sergeant majors, parrot fish, etc). All the way on the other side of the island from Cruz Bay, past Skinny Legs.
