I have been to Batik Seno 4 times now. Each time I bring my daughters and guests from abroad. Albeit the price might be higher than at other places, unlike other places where you are limited to 1 color and you are limited to a simple design, here you are free to explore, copy from one of their batik, or create your own design, use many colors and learn the different coloring techniques as well. Highly recommended for those interested in batik and batik making. You will truly appreciate the value of batik after a workshop like this. Note: suitable as a family activity as well, I last took my 10-year old niece and she loved it, especially since she could bring home her batik and have it framed. I recommend you call in advance to make sure 1) there is enough sun (need it to process the batik colors), and 2) the lovely ladies who batik there are available to teach and help correct mistakes (believe me there will be many!)

This shop is really crowded with people. There are many choices for batik and souvenirs, with reasonable pricing. The deco of the shop looks like an art gallery. The live gamelan music is wonderful. The atmosphere is just right for shopping. Great experience.
