10 Gift & Specialty Shops in Hamptons That You Shouldn't Miss

March 26, 2022 Osvaldo Hartline

The legendary Hamptons, a cluster of wealthy enclaves on Long Island’s South Fork, remains a celebrity summer playground, with splashy restaurants and nightclubs galore. But lovely beaches, fishing and kayaking attract off-the-A-list visitors, as well. Old money oozes throughout Southampton, while new wealth reigns in East Hampton. Montauk is a hit with fishermen and surfers. The Long Island Railroad travels the Hamptons in an hour. The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum and Montauk lighthouse are popular stops.

Hard to find shops like this anymore. It’s very busy so obviously people still like paperbacks. Plus games and Lego. On Main Street near the Flag.

Amagansett Square

The Amagansett Square is a quaint, cozy, outdoor shopping area nestled in the heart of Amagansett. It is a vibrant, community-oriented place where children can run and play freely and adults can easily shop, eat and meet neighbors & friends. Often, the Amagansett Square hosts special events for the community, specifically, outdoor concerts, movies on the green, fundraisers, and plenty of fun for children; Santa in the Square, Easter Egg Hunt, and more. Our beautiful town square is frequented by/among locals, Hamptons regulars, & the world's brightest luminaries.

Milk Pail

Reviewed By Lee369444 - East Rockaway, United States

We went apple picking at Milk Pail today. This was our first time there. It is October 12, which I thought was late in the season, but the trees were full of apples! Many varieties too! The apples were big, crunchy and delicious. We drove two hours to get there, but it was worth it. You are allowed to eat apples off the trees too. You can buy a 5 lb bag to fill for $13.68 credit card - $13.00 cash (this admits 1 person) OR a 20 Pound Bag to fill for $50.52 credit card - $48.00 cash which admits up to 6 people into the orchard. What I like about this place is that it is apple picking and pumpkin picking only...none of that touristy stuff at some of the other farms. They do sell apple cider and apple cider donuts at the entrance.

This place has wonderful chocolates! I have been buying assortments for Christmas presents. the chocolates are beautiful works of art and contain local ingredients like wines and rum. The building they are in is for sale and I am hoping they don't have to move or give up the business!
