Instagram has made world really small, being in Jaipur i picked up an amazing cape from RENASCI Chennai, such fabulous packing done responsibly, it came wrapped to me in a stitched cloth bag. Which i patiently opened ;) I loved the stuff as well, can't wait to style it. Whenever i am in Chennai, i will be surely looking up to visit the store to explore her entire collection.

Visited the Kingsley location of Kanakavalli. Initially difficult to locate from main road, but once we entered the drive way very easy to navigate. Beautifully restored mansion and gardens. Enjoyed walking around the mansion and seeing the beautiful restoration work done. The display of the sarees, textiles and blouses gave a very relaxed experience of shopping here. The beautiful colorful Kanchivaram sarees, pride of South India have been given the centerstage in this mansion.The staff are very courteous. Ms. Ahalya is a very gracious and spent time discussing about her passions. Overall a very unique and ethnic experience.

Before I went this mall, Phoenix market city at velachery, I was under the impression that the Express avenue mall as the best and biggest in Chennai. But now, This Phoenix mall outclasses all other malls in Chennai, as the biggest. The only difference is that this phoenix Mall is in the velachery, which is at greater chennai and not in the heart of the city. This is a well designed mall incorporating all the big international brands and names and is very efficiently maintained. Car parking facilities are also very good. ther is multiplex cinema for all languages. There is always some promotional event going on every day, which attracts youth to a great extent. I saw that nearly 95% of the crowd I came across, in the mall, to be below 30 years of age only.

This is a big whole sale market area in Chennai. The shopping area is a place near Pookadai bus stop opposite to Broadway bus station on NSC Bose road. This shopping area has many narrow long streets branches off from the main NSC Bose road. In each street few unique types of products are sold. One can buy all types of cloths, electrical, electronics, bags, plastic, home and kitchen needs, stationary items, imported items, Chinese, etc, etc,. All the products are sold at cheap whole sale price. Except for the Chinese goods, the other items should be fine in quality. For too cheap prices, poor quality items also you can get. But beware, the streets will be very crowded. The address and location given in Tripadvisor is misleading as Parrys means the shopping area everyone posted in the reviews here including that of mine.
