World wide known Transfagarasan road, Transalpina or Paltinis with pristine asphalt, and low traffic. * Transfagarasan: if you are top fit, you either cycle from Sibiu to Transfagarasan and back, or we can go by car and consider "base camp" in Cartisoara and start cycling from there on. * Paltinis: really close to Sibiu, but one of the toughest climbs in Romania in it's 14km climb, you'll find 12% gradient quite often. * Transalpina: you'll need a ride till Oașa Lake, and start the climb from there. Tărtărău Pass will be an intermediate climb before you start the 2000m ascent. You'll definitely enjoy Muntinu Mare peak just before you get to highest road in Romania

We rented two gravel bikes for one day and we could really recommend "Light Cycling Transylvania". The bikes were in a great condition, we got good recommondations for our route, we could borrow helmets, and even a small bag with a spare tire and and tools were provided.
