Flight Simulators Midlands

Flight Simulators Midlands are delighted to offer you a thrilling experience on board a real B737-800 (motion) simulator or a Boeing 747-400 Jumbo Jet simulator with simulated motion or an Airbus A320 (motion) real aircraft cockpit, converted into a simulator. All are fitted with the latest Glass Cockpit Instrumentation (PFD/ND or EFIS)and the latest graphics available. Fly the mountains around Salzburg or the waterways of Hong Kong. These simulators have trained thousands of professional pilots over the years. (They are not replica simulators like many on offer). Now it's your turn to sit where they did and learn the tricks of the trade. We highly recommend a full hours flight time (90 minute experience) to get the best from your visit. Welcome on board. Be warned, this is such a fantastic experience that if you do it once you will want to do it again - or take up flying. It’s a great set up and the staff are welcoming and friendly. My Wife bought me this as a 60th birthday present and along with Captain Nigel we flew the 747 Jumbo around New York landing at JFK and then nipped over to Innsbruck for a flight between the mountains. It is so realistic that you soon feel like you are actually flying and if like me you are fascinated by the whole concept of flight you will love this. I was so impressed, I booked to do it all over again - can’t recommend it more than that.

This is an amazing little play centre at a very reasonable price. It's tucked away within the centre of Coventry but ideal if you have young children with energy to burn. There's a simple cafe inside as well. When we're next in Coventry we will be back.

Go Ape Coventry

We (myself and 10 year old daughter) visited on a Sunday. My initial thoughts upon booking was that it seemed a little expensive. However i changed my view after a day here. The amount of staff available to help, the quality of the equipment, the time spent here and the engineering involved in the course fully justified the £61 paid for both of us to do the Tree Top challenge. Safety was paramount and this was one of my concerns pre-visit. However, short of you not attaching yourself at the start of the course (which staff would not allow) there is no way i can see a fall could occur. There is also a second rope for safety in the unlikely event that the first rope should fail. With my safety concerns out of the way, we had a great day. We spent at least 3 hours in the treetop courses and there are four courses in all. We completed them all and whilst challenging for us both, we both managed to complete all 4 courses. The zip lines were the longest i have seen and took some real bottle to "step off the platform". But i guess if it was easy and not a thrill, there wouldnt be much point. The swings and balancing obstacles were also well thought out, tricky, but do-able for a ten year old. I am a relatively big guy and was pleased to find that harnesses were available for the bigger individual also. All in all, a great day out. We were there from 12 til 6 and had a walk around the grounds too, which are very picturesque. I think the fact that not 10 minutes after we had finished, my daughter said "can we come here again" speaks for itself. One criticism I have is the issue of parking. Whilst worth the course fee, i still feel £60 for an afternoon is quite a lot of money, especially for a single parent and if car parking were to be included, or at least subsidised, I would give the place a 10/10 rather than a 9/10.

TeamSport Indoor Go Karting Coventry

A state of the art multi-level indoor go karting venue in Coventry. With karting available for ages 8+, as well as trackside chill areas complete with food to order and a licensed bar.

The venue was easy to find, behind the huge unipart factory in Canley. Plenty of on site parking out the back in security fencing, plus disabled spaces out front. The reception is new, with decent toilet facilities and changing rooms. You are asked to sign in, this is because they give you a print out of your best and average lap times vs the people you race with. Then you are given your racing suit and asked to choose a balaclava. Cheap 50p paper pants one (more than adequate) or reasonably priced cotton one £3.50 ish, or bring your own. This is for hygiene reasons when wearing the helmets. Your are taken to a briefing room and a simple video walk through of the rules - pretty important when speeding round the course at 30-40mph. Once done, you go down stairs and choose your helmet and gloves. The helmets are brand new and very comfy. Then you are given a number to get the right cart. The carts themselves are dead easy to use and great to drive. The course is about 500m and split level. When in full flight it is awesome flying passed the finish line at top speed to carry through the corner and up the ramp to a hairpin, where you can slide the back end out, if you drive badly like me. Great technical course with mixture of speed and skill. Went with 10yr old son and his friend. There was one other boy of similar age there. Weekday morning. No difference in performance between adult and kids setup, but safe for all and easy to overtake or find a space to let others overtake throughout the course. Podium at end for photos. Hosts were brilliant. Highly recommend.

Jam Jam Boomerang

Children's Indoor Play & Party Place for under 12`s

Reviewed By LaurahT69 - Warwickshire, United Kingdom

I visited Sunday morning with my two boys (aged 6 and 1) and some other family members. The kids had a fantastic time on the soft play and I was really impressed with the separate equipment for under 4s as often the toddler area at soft play just consists of a small ball pit and soft padded animals or cubes. The little tikes cars were a lovely addition and our toddlers really enjoyed the slides too. The stand out experience for me was that I managed to lose my wedding rings (I had stupidly put them in my pocket earlier that day and forgotten to put them back on). I realised several hours after leaving and telephoned expecting never to see them again but in the small hope they had been found and handed in. The staff were so sympathetic and immediately sent someone to look around the toddler area. Later that evening I got a call to say all the staff had searched the play equipment and my rings had been found and were being held safely for me. I suspect a number of places would simply say sorry nothing has been handed in and leave it at that. I am so incredibly grateful to the wonderful people that work at Jam Jam Boomerang for reuniting me with my rings and the memories they hold I will definitely be visiting again and next time I will leave my wedding rings at home!

At Tenpin Coventry you have the choice of 34 lanes to begin your bowling experience as well as a laser tag arena. With a fun-filled atmosphere and plenty of activities to keep you entertained, there’s no chance of getting bored!

Reviewed By mwhelan100 - Nuneaton, United Kingdom

First time visiting this particular bowling arena. We were put on the end aisle which was great for us. All of us enjoyed the evening, including the two younger children who were with us. Everything was good except the car park was quite small for such a busy place with the other facilities that are on the same strip of land, so it could take a little while to get a free parking space on a Saturday evening.
