Moncrieff Entertainment Centre

The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre (MEC) is the cultural heart of the Bundaberg region. Boasting an 863 seat theatre, including 12 access seats for mobility impaired patrons and a hearing loop to support patrons with hearing impairments. Proudly providing the community a carefully selected program of movies moments after their first release, the Cinema program locks in the cheapest cinema prices in Bundaberg as well as being centre stage to 30 or more live performances both Australian and international and many community and cultural events each year. Our community based program also provides local groups with the opportunity to raise funds. The MEC also presents free community movies, live-streamed simulcasts, and a program of high quality live entertainment. The MEC is a multi-purpose space for a broad range of activities including community forums, visual art exhibitions, children’s activities, school concerts, and dance events held within a historic building that dates back to 1911. The MEC is the go-to venue for your enjoyment in Bundaberg.
