This was our first escape room challenge and we had a great time. It was our family (including 2 teen boys) and we had so much fun working through the challenges. The hints from the wonderful staff were great too. If we would have had another day in Banff, we likely would have done the other escape room too. We'll have to save it for our next trip!

I had no idea the fairmont had a bowling alley until we were told to check it out by one of our servers in the hotel. We had such a warm welcome from Reid right when we walked in. He was so energetic and friendly and gave my family and I a great explanation on Canadian 5 pin bowling and the other amenities the bowling centre had to offer. He brought our drinks over to us and we had pizza which was also delicious. Out of all the amazing staff we have encountered, the genuine customer service Reid provided to us has stuck out the most. Fantastic job Reid, you made our trip! I will definitely be recommending the bowling alley to our friends and family, it is a great spot for a day trip with the kids!

Elevation Place

Elevation Place is Canmore's indoor playground, boasting a huge indoor climbing wall, aquatics centre with waterslide and hot tub, cardio/weight room, library and art gallery. A great place to spend some time indoor with the family playing on the climbing wall or in the pool, or come on your own for a workout or to push yourself on the climbing wall.

Elevation Place(EP) has defined what it means to be the best community center. EP has it all an art gallery, library, gym, beautiful pool, and best of all great indoor climbing. While in Canmore there isn't a night I don't go to EP, the price is very affordable and the activities are endless. After a long day of hiking or climbing or skiing the next place on my list is EP, usually I fit in some more climbing at their excellent climbing gym and then after head over to the pool to do some lanes or just relax in the hot tub. I can't say enough good things about EP, but as a testament there's no other place I would go to in the mountains regularly but Canmore for the sole reason that it is home to EP.

Wife and I did the Crowsnest Pass mystery. Early frustration as the mystery wouldn't open on my phone. Tried reloading the app a couple of times, but it wouldn't work. I called the phone number that was included on the receipt, not really expecting to get a hold of anyone as it was Saturday afternoon. Pleasantly surprised when Iain answered! I explained what was going on and he tried troubleshooting over the phone but problem persisted. He contacted someone on the technical team for advice and called me back. We tried a few more things with no success. He then called someone involved with the app and discovered a problem with the app. It was corrected within minutes. Iain called back and sent me a new code. We tried it and it worked!! Wife and I did the tour-very cool! A great way to learn about local history and some easy exercise at the same time! Tour took us about 1 and 3/4 hours to complete. Troubleshooting took 20ish minutes prior to starting. App worked flawless during the challenge. Will definitely do another tour! Iain was very apologetic and helpful. He even called back once we started to make sure the app was working and ask if we had any questions! Would absolutely recommend!!
