Great Mosque of Palembang

Every mosque, mostly the major mosque of the city will have a special artistic design. It might be just another mosque for some, but at least it make a statement about the locals.

Museum Balaputradewa

Reviewed By s12796 - Alice Springs, Australia

Few parts of the exhibition hall were close for maintenance that day. It was OK to visit the rest of the museum. The great part was when we were around the Rumah Limas, one of the officer was there. He greeted us. He then invited us into the house. He mention that the house was closed for public for sometime. We were so lucky, even the locals that with me never able to enter the house before. Sadly some the figurine within the museum compound were broken and not well maintain. A typical Indonesian thing.

Kemaro Island

Reviewed By WestonSouthFlorida - Turin, Italy

It all begain with a boat ride. I was impressed with the high safety standards; it took a while to double check that everyone had a life jacket and that the number of people was under the boat limit. Then, the pagoda and experience of the Buddhist temple was lovely. We were able to play a divination game at the temple and enjoy the fragrant incense. I suggest climbing the steps up to the 9th floor and enjoy the glorious view.
