Fifth Avenue Beach

We stumbled across this beach when visiting the lighthouse and pier. Lots of parking, really beautiful and clear water. Public restrooms, concession stands, and free parking all right beside the beach. While the first street beach got lots of waves the day that we were there, the 5th street beach had no waves as the pier blocked them all. Something worth keeping an eye on depending on if you want waves or not!

A really nice beach that we stumbled across while driving up the coast. Public restrooms, pavilions, playgrounds, and free parking are plenty. The waves were great the day that we were there and the color of the water was fantastic.

Manistee North Pierhead Lighthouse

Absolutely beautiful views! Get to the beach off 5th street before 11am and find plenty of parking. The lighthouse is painted perfectly and the pier is nice and wide to stroll on. **beware of some wet spots that can be slippery probably from algae growth** Better than most for families with small children, or strollers, etc. The 5th Street beach had a concession stand that opened around noon, and clean bathrooms.

Manistee Riverwalk

The riverwalk is very interesting as it runs along the river shoreline walking past boats and the downtown area then runs out over the water, wandering back to shore and the sandy area to the beach and on out to the pier. It's great for a stroll or an early morning run. Beautiful!
