Bada Dev - KamruNag Temple

Reviewed By ashishrana10 - Kasol, India

Finally got a chance to visit Kamrunag temple with family. The trek is not that tough, only 1-2 points where gradient is bit demanding. Good paved road in most of the way. The lake’s view is satisfying but water level was not much while I visited in June 2019. Good place to consider to spend a day!

Prashar Lake

Reviewed By vidyakr321 - Kerala, India

Prashar lake winter trekking ❤️ The on-foot excursion to Prashar Lake is among the most popular treks in Himalayas due to its moderate difficulty level and scenery en route. When done in winters, the journey to this about 9000-feet high pond becomes even better as snow dominates the landscape all around. The Prashar Lake winter trek begins from the bus stop in Baggi village, leading you along numerous scissor bends. During the hike, you will be required to scale several ridges and moderately high peaks, from where you will get clear views of the great Himalayan Mountains. Another highlight of the Prashar Lake trek is that it leads you through dense forests of pines and deodars, where you may get a chance to see the regional wildlife. Though the elevation of the lake is just 9000 feet and the difficulty level of the hike is easy, the winter season and snow might pose a bit of a challenge. Pack good-quality woollens, shoes with spikes, sunglasses, sunscreen and walking sticks (if required) for an enjoyable Prashar Lake snow trek.

Pangna-Karsog Valley

Reviewed By AakashYash - New Delhi, India

Spot for solitude it's 4-5 hrs drive thru virgin territory beyond simla via tattapani. We were fortunate to get half day snowfall even in March... Which carpeted entire valley and mountains. We stayed at HPTDC Mamleshwar at Chindi.. Small hamlet before Karsog famous for beautiful views. Karsog has kamksha devi temple and Mamleshwar temple...with mythological significance and later one has one single grain of wheat weighing 250 gms.. You have to ask pujari to show it to you..again this has mythological value. Overall adventure.. driving... solitude combined together.
