Such a fun activity to do when visiting Kelowna! My husband and I rented bikes from Myra Canyon bike rental and spent the morning exploring the paths that take you around the canyon, through caves and over old bridges that were previously used for trains. Would highly recommend!

Okanagan Heritage Museum

Discover the natural and human history of Kelowna. Museums are living places, and that’s true of Kelowna’s flagship museum, the Okanagan Heritage Museum too. In fact, the entire permanent gallery has been reimagined! In spring 2019, we wrapped up a multi-year process that saw us overhaul our entire permanent gallery. Pay us a visit and enjoy our ‘new’ museum. Experience fascinating displays and learn how the Okanagan valley was formed, and why it supports tremendous biodiversity. Step into the world of the syilx/Okanagan people, and gain insights into their close connection to the land. Learn about the arrival of traders and settlers, and peer into the windows of an original “Chinatown” shop. Meet some individuals from Kelowna’s past and present, and be inspired by the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame. This museum is also home to two important facilities: the Kelowna Public Archives and the Ursula Surtees Regional Conservation Laboratory.

This review is a little late but I had to make sure to write one! Back in August my partner & spent a day wine tasting in Kelowna. We specifically chose wineries that were dog friendly - we were so excited that Cedar Creek was on that list! We pre booked a tasting & upon arrival our server explained that there were pairing options we could add on (so of course we did!) Although this was definitely pricey it was so so worth it. We loved Cedar Creek - the wine was amazing, the tasting room staff incredibly knowledgeable, the property is gorgeous and most of all our dog was treated like a queen by every staff member in the place! We joined up with the wine club & will certainly be back for another visit soon. Highly recommend!!! I also wanted to say that the gentleman helping us out was beyond fabulous. I can’t remember his name but longer blonde hair. Please give him some extra kudos!

The walk around the park offers beautiful views of the Okanagan Lake and surrounding mountains. In the park there is plenty to children to do; offering a number of play areas. The park also has a public washroom facility that is in a decent condition for how public washrooms go. The park is very well maintained and offers large green spaces to sunbathe and also sandy beaches when you can chill out or swim in the lake. The pier is really cool to walk on and view the boats and head out further into the lake. In addition the walkway around the park is perfectly flat for bike riding.

House of Rose Winery

Reviewed By colleenm320 - Edmonton, Canada

Had stopped at another winery, saw signs for House of Rose so started driving....and driving. But once we got there, we were so glad we made the trip. The staff were so friendly and chatty, shared some lovely wines with us, and made recommendations to other wineries based on our tastes, even took out a map and highlighted other wineries. A real gem, we hope to be back.
