Even on a cool, misty December day, it is refreshing to take a walk at Jackson Bottom. There will always be things to see, and you will feel that you are miles away from any city. The Visitor Center is exceptional and educational, too. What a gift we have here in Hillsboro!

This is one of the best parks you can find in the Portland area. I walk my dog in this park. The fun thing about this park is that it has some many different areas: 1) Tennis courts 2) Playground 3) Walking/running paths 4) Small pond/lake 5) Picnic areas 6) Lawns / green areas 7) Walk through the forest 8) Walk along a river 9) In the spring & summer they have a small stream water feature that runs through the part. I trained my dog to jump over it. 10) Buildings for meetings & receptions

This park is SO nice! There are 3 separate areas. A "winter" or "rainy season" gravel area, a small dog section, and then a large area for all dogs. We frequent this park and always have great experiences. Theres enough room for the owners to walk laps and get exercise as well. Our favorite dog park in the area.

53rd Ave Community Park

Reviewed By 68KAT - Portland, United States

This has a wonderful " dancing water" for the kids to play in and cool off. There are all kinds of playground equipment to tire out you active kids. As much as we love this park, I would add a caution. Recently there have been young teen girls approaching kids and making inappropriate suggestive remarks. They seem to live in the apartments nearby and have no adult supervision. That said if you are an involved parent this is a fun park for the kids.
