Tower Bennistra, also called Bennisti, sitting atop a rock formation high above the village of Scopello, neat the Zingaro Natural Reserve, can be reached by foot starting from Scopello. Built in the Sixteenth century, it was part of a defensive system of towers. Turned into a ruin over the centuries, it was restored in 2015 and is now definitely worth the hike.
