Mystic Distillery and Farm

My husband and I visited Mystic Farm and Distillery this weekend for the Saturday tour. I was a little hesitant at first, as I've never toured a distillery before, but my experience was absolutely amazing! The tour guide was wonderful, personable, hilarious and VERY informative. The actual farm is beautiful, and the product is delightful. I'm very happy we stopped here for the afternoon.

Honeygirl Meadery

Honeygirl Meadery is a small urban meadery located in downtown Durham NC. We ferment with local and global true source honey, and local fruits, flowers and herbs, to make artisanal meads (honey-wines). Visitors can enjoy a mead tasting, flight or glass in our tasting room Thursday through Sunday. Bottle sales are also available. Meads are seasonal and availability changes throughout the year. Check our company website for the current mead line-up. In addition to making and selling our meads, we support efforts to benefit honeybees and other pollinators - we sponsor a beehive with Bee Downtown, and volunteer on the committee for Bee City Durham. COVID-19 UPDATE: We are open for service and outdoor seating only Friday - Sunday. Outside seating is weather dependent - check our Facebook page for regular updates. We are open for curbside pick-up Wednesday - Sunday. Preorder online in our website shop for pick-up.

Stopped here on a Sunday round robin of breweries etc in Durham and was not disappointed. Had a tasting with 8 for $10 and the lady behind the bar was super helpful at suggesting flavours for us to try, loads to try and something to suit everyone. Highly recommend a visit as it also supports the local bee production within the area. Will definitely be visiting again before we leave.

Bull City Ciderworks

The BULL doesn't play by the rules. Hard cider doesn't have to be sickeningly sweet and taste artificial. Our ciders are made with 100% apple juice and never back-sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, so you taste the apple in all its glory! Gluten-free yeast and ingredients ensure a naturally gluten-free cider. We're crafting unique ciders that bridge the gap between wine and beer. Honey, black tea, hops, ginger, tart cherries, bacon, candy corn and hibiscus allow us to redefine cider. The BULL is bucking the trend of mainstream ciders. Taste the revolution!

Reviewed By cdkassotis - Detroit, United States

This place is fantastic. It's been a few weeks now, but for a while there I felt like I was there a minimum of once a week. They put out a wide selection of ciders, but also keep a few beers on tap for folks who might not be into the cider scene. Their single ciders are good, particularly the ginger, cherry, etc., but mixing it up is where it's at. Ask the staff for recommendations, and try some samples. My last half dozen trips in I've been mixing 50:50s, and these are often better than anything that you can get alone. Love one of their ciders, but it's a bit too sweet? Mix it with one that isn't quite sweet enough and you're golden. It's a fun new game, figuring out the best mixes, and offers some of the best ciders I've had there or anywhere. Definitely go often.

Durham Farmers' Market

The market is located downtown and spreads over a few streets and a park. There is produce, meats, cheeses, prepared foods, crafts, and music. We spent about 2 hours with our young adult daughter and all had a great time.
