I have been here a few times and they have the nicest strawberries. Hadn’t been for a while and was told they serve hot chips. They were the best I had ever had, super crunchy and just yum made from potatoes grown on the farm. Will be going again when I am back in the area,

What an amazing stay! The farm studio completely exceeded expectations, including a bathroom which delivers in every way. A freestanding bathtub night enough to comfortably fit 2 adults, talk about luxury. Breakfast provisions were plentiful and top quality. Beautiful sour dough bread, local berries, home made spread and honey plus plenty of coffee and tea. The standard of hospitality was amazing and I never felt like I needed more. The views were absolutely beautiful from the room! Take a walk around the farm, we found a pony, beautiful monuments to family members and rows of apple/pear trees. Beautifully secluded but still only a short drive to anything you would need. An a incredible stay and would highly recommend!

Mock Red Hill

Found this while looking for somewhere to have dinner on NYE (on TripAdviser - a wide search). Decided to drop in on the way to Sorrento - not such a detour (from Mount Martha) when you consider the traffic on the coast road. Very friendly people and the food we had (ham+cheese sanger and an apple donut) were yummy. Will definitely have to go back to try the ploughman's lunch. The ciders were a mixed bag - as I'm new to cider it might not be a fair review. The first (Classic?) was definitely the most interesting (cool smell and cool taste on first try, but a wonderful sweetish, tangy aftertaste that lasted and lasted). The next one was a little sweeter and more forward, with no so much of an aftertaste. The pear/apple was terribly dangerous, not super complex, but not too sweet and something that could just be drunk continually... And the sweet one, well it was nice, but too sweet for my tastes. The sparkling apple was OK - but I'd probably want it in litre bottles to take-away. And the vinegar was superb! quite astringent, but with lots of apple flavour. Almost too acidic to drink straight but we loved it. Bought some of the special (Dry?) which may have gone by now and the classic, plus a bottle of vinegar and some cherries. Only about 10 minutes from home, so will keep an eye on the website for new and interesting releases...and the vinegar.

Our children took us out to Big Goose to celebrate our grandson's third birthday. We also took my mother making it an outing for four generations of the family. It is located around 15-20 minutes past Frankston so not far out of the way and very easy to get to. It is a combination of farm, adventure playground, petting zoo and educational shows. Throw in tractor and pony rides and it made an entertaining day for us all. Our 1 and 3yo grand kids loved being able to go into the pens and feed the rabbits and guinea pigs, chickens and other baby animals. Then to run around the adventure playground. There was a show demonstrating sheep round ups and one with reptiles. In between you could hand feed the goats, sheep and lots of other farm animals with a few exotics like Ostriches mixed in. My mother is in a wheelchair and while the paths were a bit bumpy she had a great time interacting with both the great grandchildren and the animals. There is a cafe on site or picnic areas. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and it gave a feeling that they were all family working together to put it together. At around $55 for a family ticket it was great value for 2 or 3 hours entertainment. It caters for younger children but good for the whole family.

So happy to report that our experience, on Saturday morning was totally opposite to the reviews posted here, by disappointed customers, in December. We arrived at 9.15 a.m and got the last car park, in the main car park area. We walked through the outside, spacious, cafe, (already half full of people having breakfast) and admired the plates adorned with various delectable looking treats, including generous servings of strawberries! We adhered to our plan and headed straight to the strawberry fields. We were given a very cheery welcome by the cashier and all other staff members were pleasant too. There were, I'm guessing about 40 people/ children in the big field, with an abundance of huge, red, ripe strawberries!! My advice is go early. It was busier than I had expected but the atmosphere was happy and peaceful, with everyone enjoying themselves. Oh, and just an added bonus, the strawberries have to be tasted to be believed at how juicy, luscious and totally addictive they are. Such a lovely experience. Thankyou Sunny Ridge. We will be back!!! Oh, get the littlies to wear gummies or at least have somewhere to put the muddy shoes and something to clean the muddy little toes!!

Had a 2 year old birthday party here and it was easy, fun, and the staff were genuinely just lovely people that want you and your family to enjoy themselves. They’ve created a great environment for the kids so they can essentially run free, explore, play with animals, etc. All the kids had such a fun time, really great way to spend the morning. Highly recommend for a fun activity with the kids.
