A small batch whiskey distillery with a bar. You can sample the whiskey (and rye, and bourbon), try their mixed drinks and purchase bottles. The place is small, the bar is right next to the distillery on 4th street, just a few blocks from downtown Royal Oak. The employees are friendly and helpful. At my last visit I purchased a sample pack of 6 different whiskeys as a gift for my husband. I recommend a visit and a cocktail. Cheers!

Our family has lived in the area between Clam Lake, Lake Bellaire, and Torch Lake for six generations. We have a special love of the area, and we want to bring you the flavor of this spectacular spot. Our honey comes from bees that travel to local orchards and farms, creating a flavor that truly represents Northern Michigan. We source our fruit as close to the meadery as possible by working with those same local farmers whose crops were pollinated by the bees. We have a long family history of bottling delicious drinks. Our great-great-grandpa Bailey bottled water from a natural spring on the banks of Clam Lake. This fantastic water was sold throughout the community. His building still stands across from our childhood home, and serves as a daily reminder to do grandpa proud.

Welcoming place to try interesting wine and hard cider. The Northern Star and chocolate cherry cider, along with the peach wine are particularly good. Friendly staff and nice facility with indoor snd outdoor seating.

Great little gem in the HL area. Friendly place. Chris was awesome, the cocktails were very good and great variety of choices. The liquors are made on-site. Will definitely be a go-to place when in the area.

Stopped in here with my 23 year old to enjoy a drink before going for dinner. We ended up hanging out here for a while playing some of the games out for customers and sipping on some Michigan themed vodka libations. The owner was very friendly and was barside mixing up a new recipe for us to sample. A great spot for a night out with friends or for a date. One of Lansing's gems!

Our Main Distillery Tasting Room, located off of 3 Mile is open Monday through Saturday 11-a.m. to 5:30-p.m and is closed Sundays. We took a tour of the distillery and then stayed for a tasting afterwards. The tour guide was absolutely lovely and nice, she did a great job breaking down the process while also spreading the message of the hands on nature of the distillery (she’s an accountant, runs the tasting room, and helps bottle on occasion). Topping off the tour was the tasting and, while I can’t speak for the Voka or Gin as I’ve never been a huge fan of either, their selections of whiskey were delightful. I bought a bottle of their Ole George on my way out and will definitely be back for more.

Breath of fresh air in wine country ...great change of pace to do a $5 flight tasting of their great liquor. The food is awesome! We recommend the charcuterie board and pretzel appetizers...the purple rain mixed drink is also super fun and yummy! Fun industrial scene with golf putting out back...spread out and large restaurant and bar scene. Definitely don’t miss it! It’s great and one of our favorite stops.

One of my favorite spots! Not only WORLDS BEST Vodka but the music selection is like my own Pandora is playing. Nice cozy dark place where the bartenders have a pin up girl attire and make some stellar drinks!!

The Two James distillery and bar are nestled in an old 1800’s building in Corktown. Previously a typically underutilized Detroit building it was an originally a donut factory that had been re-purposed several times over the last century While touring the distillery Nicole, our fantastic host, told us stories of Two James and Detroit and how the history of the city and the distillery are so intertwined. We even got to sample the “cake” on the top of the fermentation tanks and compare the differences as the fermentation develops The hour long tour ended with a sampling of ten of their spirits. As we tasted we learn about the evolution of the bottles and how the different spirits were named. We also got a primer on spirits in general. For example did you know that rums with high ester content will…… (Content deleted – don’t want to ruin the tour) or how peated whiskey with…. (Sorry can’t tell this one either) After the tour you can enjoy excellent craft cocktails at the bar (we did) or visit one of the many nearby restaurants within a short walk (we did this too). The Cork and Gable restaurant recently opened in the same building is an easy option Make your reservations early as the tours fill up quickly. Parking out front on Michigan Ave is free
