Its name means "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is known for its temperate, cool climate – the coolest area in Sri Lanka.

Our tour to Wilpattu National Park was well organised. Our driver and tour gide was very professional and friendly - it was a real plasure to meet him. We were lucky to see many wild animals including leopard. Highly recommend to anyone looking to book for a one day tour of Sri Lanka and very reasonably priced.

I travelled with Dush in Dec 2019. There were two of us, my husband and I. Dush was definitely safe and honest and brought us to the places that we requested and also did some recommendations along the way. We first planned our itinerary and sent him thru whatsapp on +94 773884173 so we could have a plan and discussion. He took us on a 8day 7 nights travel and it was truly fun and enjoyable. He also took us on an additional off the beat path trip to visit his old house and we met his wife and kid. An amazing experience through and through with Dush!

The country is home to more than 100 waterfalls and rivers which at the end of the day stops at the Indian Ocean. Waterfalls are mostly located in the Hill Country. We had booked a car with chauffeur for 7 days with pickup & drop off at Colombo airport. The driver Nishan, was courteous & very friendly. We visited Colombo, Hatton, Kandy, Dambulla, Sigiriya & Negeombo. Considering we did not visit a lot of the usual popular tourist places like Ella, it was a bit tough finding our way around but overall it was a great experience. Mr Sankalpa was very helpful in planning our trip before we left from NewYork & worked with us to get the itinerary we wanted. Highly recommend Red Apple Colombo. Thank you

Ashiq Aswar is a superb tour guide! Him and Rizni took my family around on a tour of Colombo that included shopping and then a tour of the outskirts of a bee farm, spice gardens a private tour visiting and riding elephants. We had a great lunch in a clean and air-conditioned restaurant. The van was clean and comfortable. They picked us up and dropped us back. This trip was actually in the early part of last year in spring, but the calendar on Trip Advisor only goes back to summer of last year. They were very attentive, very caring and personable. I would highly recommend Ashiq and Kingfisher tours to anyone visiting Colombo, Sri Lanka ????????

Went on a morning safari, and had a great time! It was rumored that a leopard was laying on a rock, but then it dissoparied. The other cars went on to chase it, but our driver stayed put with the rock and closed the engine. 5 min wait, and the leopard claimed up on the rock again - and we were all alone to vitnes the beautiful animal! Saw alot of other animals and the driver choose roads with no/few other cars, so we felt "alone" on the safari journey. Recommanded!
