This was a nice trip taken on a combination of car, rickshaw and public bus. I visited several places in historic Sonargaon including the ancient Panam Nagar, Goaldi mosque and a river island with a local community. There were lots of chances to try local snacks along the way. At the end back in Dhaka we visited two markets. My guide Rahman was very knowledgeable and provided lots of information throughout the day. Overall a packed but very enjoyable day.

The tour allowed to had a good glimpse of Dhaka. I particularly love Lalbagh Fort. The architecture is amazing, but be prepared that locals may ask to have selfies with you. My only regret is that the tour did not include Pink Palace.
