I stayed here 3 nights with my wife. We stayed in the cottage which was really great. Everything was clean and came with a kitchen and even had cutlery, pots, pans and everything else you need to cook your own food and eat. The view was great as well and saw some nice sunset. Great place to base your activities around Cavendish, close by to everything. We even got a 100 dollar gift card which was a delightful surprise!

Amazing views!

Harbour front cottages with amazing views and impeccably clean! We were in Room 4 which is a duplex but very private, quiet and with a private deck overlooking the harbour. Coffee pot, microwave, kettle, toaster and refrigerator is provided in the room. The family that owns/runs these cottages is great and they have a few food items for sale in the office. If you're arriving late it is a bit remote so try and bring something to eat. Parking is outside the cottage.

Great rate for a nice, simple room. Easy check in, and just as advertised. The decor in the room matches the area, very quaint & homey. Bed was reasonably comfortable, and the facilities were adequate - didn’t mind the slow-draining shower, but my girlfriend did ?‍♂️ Overall a nice spot, would repeat! A beautiful spot in the country

Nice walk through the woods that opens up to a beautiful beach with panoramic views. Second time I have been here and would recommend it for sure.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage on the Hill- we would've like to know that the cottage in on the side of the street. Also, the charge on my credit card wasn't the same as the one that I had through my reservation with booking.com- it was 50$ higher. They told me what was on my receipt wasn't what would be charged on my visa but it was. Just be certain to check what you pay for before you accept the charges.

Don't bother unless you bring your own EVERYTHING

We should have read the reviews. My husband had good memories from his youth of Glenview Cottages so we make the booking, for a late January "get away", based on his 30 year old memories. Based on pictures of the Mini Suite Cottage we DID bring our own folding table and chairs and we were glad we did. We wished we'd also brought our own towels, cloths, and coffee maker. The room ended up having a table and two chairs but as we began to set the table for a board game we discovered that the wall was keeping the table and one chair propped. One leg fell off the table and one chair fell apart as we pulled it out from the table. We called the front desk immediately so they wouldn't thing we had broken the furniture. The clerk offered no apology nor a replacement set. We hauled our folding pieces from the vehicle. The bathroom had 2 bath towels and two hand towels. No wash cloths. The kitchen had no dishcloths or tea towels. The microwave had not been cleaned since the last guest and had A LOT of food splatter insde. The coffee pot had not been cleaned since the last guest and had a dried out filter pac in the basket (ew) and the pot had dried out coffee in the bottom. There was a sign above the kitchen sinking "Warning" that if we didn't do our dishes we'd be charged a fee. Well, I did the dishes with a hand towel and laid them to dry on some cardboard we happened to have in our vehicle. I left a note explaining that if they wanted us to do the dishes they should provide the tools to do that. As we were preparing to leave I decided to write a list of all the things that were broken or missing. I am NOT the type of person that would typically do this, and explained this to the young man who checked us out, but there were just SO many things that were unacceptable I had to. The young clerk took my list, again offering no apology or compensation. I might have expected that the desk staff would be authorized to offer, if not a rebate, a credit for a future stay. A kind gesture that could mean they'd try to do better next time. I would have gladly booked again to give them a second try. But, unfortunately, I will not give them a second try now. I will say that if the necessary amenities had been provided and/or were clean I would have enjoyed the cottage itself much more. The cottage was clean enough and was quietly located in the centre of the property. The January snow coverage helped with sound absorbtion too. It was a beautiful spot and we did feel like we were on a holiday (except for washing dishes LOL).

Nice Stay

Reviewed By JFLeB325

Stayed at this cottage for a couple nights this weekend. Booking process was extremely easy. Staff members was very friendly and helpful! We stayed at the Blue Heron Cottage, which was clean and cozy, however not very well insulated. On both nights were a family party outside and really loud, We could hear them quite easily which was a bit frustrating. The cottages and park has long grass growing that could be cleaned and maintained to make it look a little more clean. If ypu dont care about that kinda stuff, I highly recommend this place, very easy access to Cavendish, everything that you need is there (Forks, knives, plates, soap, etc)
