10 Cooking Classes in Washington DC That You Shouldn't Miss

March 3, 2022 Enedina Augsburger

Washington DC is a hub for American politics and history. Attracting as many school field trips as it does travelers the district offers a peek into the country’s democratic origin. There are plenty of free museums to take advantage of but the real draw here is the memorials and monuments dedicated to great American leaders. Spend some contemplative time at the Reflecting Pool within the National Mall, among the most patriotic places in the country.

We engaged Cozymeal and Chef Gustavo for a work-related team-building exercise for our small company. Our great experience extended from the kitchen to the back office, when one of our co-workers had to drop out at the last minute due to a family emergency. The Cozymeal staff was understanding, helpful, and responsive and the eventual outcome was a refund of our unused seats. Top-notch customer service from the Cozymeal team! Meanwhile, Chef took us on a culinary adventure, showing us the most amazing versions of some of Latin America's most iconic dishes. He shared his own journey along the way, and gave us some incredible tips and tricks. We learned his secret ingredient to many dishes: "corazon" and Chef generously taught us how to use it in all of his dishes. He was warm, open, playful, and a real talent in the kitchen. Did I mention his food was to die for? We highly recommend any of Chef Gustavo's experiences specifically and Cozymeal in general, and I strongly suspect our team will be going back for more in the future!
