Ocean View is a friendly Apartment Hotel consisting of 24 apartments in 4 apartment blocks. The hotel complex is located directly at the beach, perfect for sunbathing or kitesurfing. A short 7 minute's walk and you arrive at the center of Cumbuco. There are supermarkets open until late 7 days per week. There you can find everything you need to prepare your own breakfast, lunch or dinner. Lot's of restaurants and bars for all budgets have been established over the years. Craft stores, cloth shops, bottle shops, vegie markets and 2 pharmacies compliment them around the city square. Buses drive on an half hourly schedule to Caucaia (the Province town) or to Fortaleza (the Capitol of the State of Ceara). Enjoy a short walk to the dunes, sip on a glass of wine and enjoy the great colorful sunsets.
Resting place for retirees
Reviewed By Gunnar HWe are camping here almost every January/March since 2008. It is on the beachside, it is self-catering, it is very well looked after, here we can either walk on the beach or sidewalk for 15 minutes to shops and restaurants. The staff at the Ocean View are ALLWAYS helpful and friendly. There is a big pool right in front of our apartment, one step from a lovely terrasse, we are in the pool. If we want to have a dip in the South Atlantic, we have to walk on white beach for 50 meters. There is a big nice BBQ in a separate house. We have now flights with KLM from Bergen, Norway via Amsterdam and the hole trip takes about 14 hours. The manager of Ocean View , Mr. Gerhard Beulke, has preordered a taxi for a pick up at the airport. So what more can you demand. WE love it and we can recomend Ocean View to all who like to listen to the waves rolling in on the beach and for them, who likkes to enjoy to use one of the worlds best KITING beaches. You got something to look forward to.

Reviewed By 836fernandanApartamento em frente à praia de Meireles alugado no Hotéis ponto com paredes sujas, exaustor imundo, tomadas engorduradas. Liguei no Hotéis ponto com eles disseram que não tinha outro flat disponível. Outra coisa desagradável foi ao chegarmos a Fortaleza nos ligaram avisando que o apartamento não estaria disponível as 14:00hrs. Não recomendo

Good price/good location

Good points: low price (but you get what you pay for), friendly staff, just a block to the beach and good dining, patio w/ocean views, breakfast was decent, fridge bar had beer and chocolate. Not so good: a/c only in bedroom, old and dilapidated bldg, furniture/linens/towels were cheap and uncomfortable, tv only in bedroom, shower leaked water onto bathroom floor, our floor had a constant reeking cigarette smell, kitchen ware was limited and pretty much useless. Overall however, I prob would stay again due to price/location but I would go prepared and ask more questions before booking.

Totally worth your money
Reviewed By Voyager37645762364I highly recommend this place. It has been great staying here. I have stayed for 6 nights now and i might extend. The place is cleaned daily, i like to quiet, functioning WiFi and the proximity to the beach. All these combined and more has made my stay here worthwhile. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

The apartments are equipped for business stays too. High Speed internet connection and cable tv are present in all our apartments. A wonderfull swiming pool area with bar and rerstaurant will make your holidays a luxury. Good value for money
Reviewed By Food_Lover_186254We stayed here for 2 nights and were really happy with the location, it is really easy to walk to the beach and restaurants and we got a bit of a seaview from our balcony. It was nice to have a few swimming pools to choose from and the fitness centre was big and had everything we could possibly need. The receptionists tried to speak English and where they couldn't, used Google translate to help us out. The kitchen was handy to have and the room had everything we needed, the bathroom was quite outdated and the bedroom was tiny, there was barely room for us to walk around the bed! The only problems we had were the size of the bedroom and bathroom and also that some signs on the lifts saying cinema room etc led to nothing which was a bit strange!

But as it's not exactly in the town center, it's calm and silent in the night. Breakfast are excellent. Actually, during our entire stay in Brazil this pousada offered the best selection for breakfast. Room was spacious, clean... But I don't know why we got the only one room in the entire hotel that had no terrace/balcony. That's something we were unhappy with. Really unhappy. The pool is large enough, but frankly, we didn't use it, as it seemed that its filtration system was off and the water was a bit brown from my point of view. WiFi worked well in restaurant, while in the room it was weak.

Reviewed By Dr_Animesh_JainThis was my first stay in a (serviced) apartment that too all by myself. Since the tariff of hotels in Fortaleza is high, I opted for this apartment through booking.com after reading through reviews on multiple sites. I was happy to see that the apartment is well furnished with amenities. It has a fridge, 4 burner gas stove, microwave, electric kettle, utensils and cutlery etc. This would be easy and sufficient for a short and long stay cooking provided someone wanted to. The bathroom is clean and decent and soap and shampoo is provided. There is a small pool at the ground floor, which I never visited or utilized as I was busy with conference. There is a security guard at the main entrance who opens and shuts the main gate every time someone comes in or leaves. However, he doesn't really stop to verify anyone's credentials as he or his colleagues (rotation duties) seem to know the guests. They also help in calling a cab or some small help in directions though language is a challenge. I used sign language and google translator. The cleanliness is good and there is a maid who comes in and cleans the apartment and clears garbage from bins during the day once we go out. There is a good view from balcony, in fact I could see the sea. The location is good, accessible, and seemed like relatively safe neighbourhood (I walked alone at 1.20 am from Beira Mar to apartment !!). It is about 3 blocks away from the beach and hotels on Beira Mar as well as the evening market. Though I did not utilize, there are pharmacies and supermarket nearby and even the local buses ply at a 200 m distance. Even taxi can be called (by security guard) or if one wants, can go upto Beira Mar or main road junction and can get a taxi easily. A few negative points - The apartment that I had (#1204), the balcony door latch was not working. I believe it is safe (as nothing ever happened during my stay) but if someone wants can enter the apartment through that. There is no fan in living room, and I didn't really need it as the weather was pleasant. It may get a bit noisy if neighbours are loud. I had a bad experience. The main door latch gave me trouble on the last day of my stay and took major operation and about 5 hrs to get fixed, in the process spoiling my plans of roaming on the beach with my friends and colleagues from nearby Hotel. However, I must admit that these are very nice and helpful people who solved the problem without any complaint. In fact the language challenge apart, everyone was quite cool about it. And finally Mr Enrico came in alongwith Mr Marcello and the security guard and very patiently and meticulously changed the inside part of the lock from another unoccupied apartment. Overall, I found the Brisa Do Mar a very comfortable, independent unit with relatively safe stay within budget.

Good apartments and very close to Beach Park
Reviewed By Skywalk75I recommend this place if you intend to stay in the Beach Park or if you want to enjoy some exciting (kite) surfing days in Aquiraz. In comparison to the Beach Park hotels, this is quite a good option: It is close to the water park and the beach (5-10 minutes walking) and you have well equipped apartments in a secure place (the whole area is protected by cameras and a security man at night. Further, Aquiraz is much more quiet than Fortaleza). In the apartments you have air-conditioning in all rooms. I really liked the service, the local administration is taking care that you feel at home. I appreciated the "starter kit" with drinks and food at a fair price, so you don't have to leave on the day you arrive to get something to eat and drink. Two supermarkets and a restaurant are close to this place and you get a pizza delivery that we used several times. During our trip we stayed in a bigger penthouse apartment and then in a smaller 4-person apartment. I have to criticise the tidiness of the penthouse. The accessory in the kitchen was quite dirty and we had to clean everything before the first use as well as the wardrobe. Also the bedsheets were not clean when we arrived and we changed them. Further, a toilet flush didn't work as well as a TV. In contrast, the second apartment was just perfect and the way we expected it to be. The area that belongs to Palm Beach was very clean, including a nice pool. Further, you have a sauna, a fitness room, a place for snooker and table-tennis and a yard to play soccer. During the week the whole place is very quiet. On the weekends the movement increases considerably and people play music during the day but that's ok. But we had one really bad night because in another place outside, just in front of Palm Beach, there were people making party with extremely loud music the WHOLE night. At 5 o'clock in the morning the police showed up but just 10 minutes after they had left, the music was as loud as before and just stopped at 8 in the morning (!!). This is not Palm Beach's fault but this is certainly not the first time because the other place is usually used for bigger parties with space for about 20 people or more. Due to the missing tidiness of the penthouse and the one annoying night without sleep I don't give Palm Beach 5 stars but in consideration of the positive aspects I recommend the place with strong 4 points.

O hotel duca à Beira-mar em frente à estátua de Iracema e bem próximo ao mercado dos pescadores de Mucuripe e ao lado da excelente sorveteria 50 sabores. Perto tem o parque bom pra relaxar.

Ofereceram um apartamento para 4 pessoas, só esqueceram de avisar que era ao lado de uma construção e virado para rua. Barulho insuportável. Fui para descansar com a minha família e só passei raiva.
