Nice overall stay except for pool
Reviewed By Laksha SWe booked a 3-bedroom villa with heated pool at an additional cost. Checkin: There is no reception at this resort or villa. The security guy sits somewhere that's not visible from the gate. It seems that anyone can pass the automated gate system. There was no one to show us the way. We did not know which villa was allocated to us. Finally, after few minutes a lady came by and told us the way but it was not the correct villa allocated. Another lady told us another villa but again wrong villa. After parking into 4 villas car park, we finally got to the correct one. The lady showed us the main areas, however we were not told how to use the keys and where the towels are. (We discovered that we have additional towels in other rooms when we were checking out) Villa- Villa is decently spacious. One hall, bedroom and sit out near the pool. The master bedroom is very huge but the other two are relatively small, but this wasn't a big issue. Pool was not heated despite requesting for it since 2 weeks. We contacted the reception at 10pm but they said that their staff leaves at 8pm and we will have to wait for the next day. We could not enjoyed our paid service. There was a back door which was not closing. After several attempts, we managed to get it closed. On our arrival, the curtains next to the pool fell on the head of two of my friends. But fortunately they were not hurt. The technician for the pool came the next day but said that there is a defect with the pool itself. For a paid service??? Hall and Bedroom was fine. However the bathroom in the master bedroom was not very private. It has another side which can be visible from the corridor, thus no privacy with other guests. Kitchen utensils worked fine. Check-out was quick and easy. The staffs came way before the check out time to verify the villa. It was quite uneasy as we were in our swimwear. Overall stay was pleasing. Loved the small cosy area with plunge pool and bamboo blinds helped from the winds. Only the heated pool ruined the moment. Will surely recommend it for couples.

Reviewed By shwetap1317The 1 bedroom apartments are really good and comfortable. They have a good size bathrooms with linens. U may want to get your own toiletries though. They have basic utensils for 2 ppl along with an electric stove and microwave. The pool in a bit larger than a bath tub...:). They have an amazing Indian restaurant. The front desk staff is super helpful. Would definitely stay here again

Reviewed By IslaycatWe stayed 10 days and very much enjoyed it. This is more of a guesthouse than a hotel which means that there are only about 12 other guests. This gives a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The rooms have everything you need, the breakfasts are good, the pool area is great and you are very very close to the beach. It is under a flight path from the airport , but the flights aren't that often and not after a certain time at night. The owner was very friendly and helpful, with advice, booking cars etc. They also have a small spa on the premises; the prices are reasonable and the treatments really good. I would definitely recommend it.

Could be pleasant if they wanted
Reviewed By sabaidiiThis place has some big advantages, it´s just minutes from the beach and several good restaurants are just around the corner, and the price is affordable. So with a little effort this could be a top spot. Instead I was greeted by some black hair on the sheets, which the lady changed as per my request, but she folded the sheet together right in front of me instead of tossing it in the laundry. My salute to whoever sleeps here next! Room was advertised with aircon but the remote was locked away behind the reception area, luckily I checked and got it before the owner and lady disappeared. Next no toilet paper so a disgruntled had to get out of his shack and unlock Fort Knox again, just to warn me, first roll is free, second you have to pay. Ahaha haven´t heard that since my early days in a youth hostel. The room was spacious but I had lots of mosquitos in it, luckily I brought my own net. Shower didn´t have a hook on the wall so you needed to hold it while showering. All this combined appears like a thrifty owner tries to save pennies because you have no remote to use a/c, no toilet paper to waste and won´t take such a long shower if you have to hold it. Apart from that, it´s perfectly doable, and after I had fought for my clean sheet, my a/c remote, and my toilet paper, and killed a dozen mosquitoes, I thought why not stay another night, and I did. Everything else in that price range was full and now I know why.

Reviewed By Wendy SWe booked an apartment for 4 persons which was clean with a well equipped kitchen. Every morning continental breakfast was delivered in room and daily cleaning facilities were offered. Wifi was quite stable. Special thanks to Dorine who warmly welcomed us and was very helpful. I highly recommend this place which is excellent given the affordable price and ideal location (just opposite the beach).
