Initially, its tradition lay within the art of clowning, non-verbal theatre and burlesque theatre. We attended opera, recital and symphony performances in the Grosses Festspielhaus. The seating was reasonably comfortable and the acoustics were fine. The performances during the Salzburg Festival were topnotch.
