Enjoy a fine orchestral music played by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra under the interpretation of German conductor Jun Märkl. Sets were called the French Potrait. The Petronas Philharmonic Hall is one fine piece of architecture, loved the beautifully presented wooden decor.

MUD Kuala Lumpur

MUD: THE STORY OF KUALA LUMPUR, The Musical, traces the story of the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur's early beginnings as a small agricultural village of the 1850s, to an industrial tin mining town of the 1880s, and to becoming the administrative capital of the Federated Malay States in 1896. It's told through the lives of three friends who find that by facing their challenges living in this growing town, they find themselves too. MUD infuses traditional theatre form with modern theatrical technology. This 1-hour musical is a visual feast that will not only excite all visitors to Malaysia, it also commemorate the bricks that built this city we call our home. MUD is housed within the 112-year-old Panggung Bandaraya, or City Theatre, built at the confluence of Klang River and Gombak River. This building rose among the KL's early architecture. A Moorish façade wraps this building, which has been classified as a heritage building under the Antiquities Act. MUD: THE STORY OF KUALA LUMPUR is presented by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), a project by Visit KL, and produced by Tiara Jacquelina, award-winning producer of Puteri Gunung Ledang and P.Ramlee The Musical under Enfiniti Vision Media.

Crackhouse Comedy Club

Since April 2014, The Crackhouse Comedy Club has burst onto the Malaysian comedy scene being the first ever dedicated comedy club showcasing the best local, regional and international headliners with 4 shows every week ranging from amatuer open mic nights, whacky improv, bahasa stand-up, to heavyweight pro comics from all over the world! The Crackhouse will be your default setting for stress relief and legal highs. To help alleviate the anxious nature of decision making, we will not burden you with too many choices- Just cheap drinks and jaffles. It's all about the comedy. We also want to facilitate other performers and promoters to produce their own shows and comedy events in a venue designed with the comedy in mind. Think of the Crackhouse as a Comics' Co-op- Of the Comics, by the Comics... for the Craic of it.

Reminds me of those small comedy clubs back in Oz- creative, grungey, informal, friendly vibe and inviting. The host, Rizal Van Geyzel, is a local class act. Talented and very funny. Watched many a shows here and have enjoyed both the local and foreign comedians. Discovered some great talents from here too like - Jason Leong. Really glad that such a place exists in Kuala Lumpur and how it has helped spawn a community of local comedians since and introducing them to the international spotlight. I'm big comedy buff and knew about this place a while back as I've attended many early shows associated with Comedy Club Asia in Singapore. The founder of the club (who is also a very talented comedian himself), Jon Atherton, had told me about kickstarting Crackhouse in KL and I had always wanted to check it out. Now that I've moved here, I have kept coming back since! Drinks are reasonably priced, clean and very creative bathroom art, location is close to eateries. I highly recommend this place :)
