Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. This Amphitheater you have to go to at least 1 time in your life to see a show or your favorite band. It has to be on your bucket list! An amazing amphitheater with beautiful sound. We went to go see Bon Iver because it was some one we kind of knew and it was one of the best shows I’ve been to. There is also hiking trails around the park if you also want do before the show which we did or your can tail gate before the show and make new friends. Don’t forget to check out city lights when it’s dark! Definitely a must see for anyone who loves music.

We went to see some local bands, as well as some from the West Coast. Very earthy and eclectic. The bands were great and the audience looked like all of the hippies that were at Woodstock, some obviously aged by 50 years, while others in a timeless bubble. The child of the children of the Love Children. Long, flower-print dresses, worn, baggie jeans, big, floppy hats, long hair and a palpable mellowness about them. This venue hosts many different events. We happened to pick a really good one. Generally speaking, the acoustics were great, the seats pretty comfortable, plenty of concession stands, and every seat, including the ones in the grass, had a great view.

Play was brilliantly performed by a cast of outstanding performers who all pretty much had the English accents perfectly (coming from a Brit this is praise indeed!) Mrs Bennett played by Ben? and Mr Darcy were our favourites- The theatre is lovely - Creede a small quaint Colorado town with lots of small restaurants, art galleries and of course tee shirt shops. Many levels of hiking in the surrounding areas. Scenery is spectacular.

I feel like this is an overlooked destination given its proximity to Denver and how great it is. I brought my sons to the Short Works and Madama Butterfly in July and it was very memorable. The venue was gorgeous. There is a courtyard and the theater company uses other adjoining buildings and buildings across the street (Williams' Stables) for concessions and other performances. Parking was a bit dicey, and I did not allow enough time so by the time I parked and paid up the street we were too late for the beginning of the short works and the attendant wouldn't let us in during the first short performance. Understandable. She also dealt well with me being sharp with her when she didn't let my boys in for the second performance when I ran across the street for snacks for them. Ugh, face palm; I apologized later -- I was just mad at myself for being late. Anyway, the short works that we saw were good and Madama Butterfly, magnificent. They had subtitles in English and a wonderful cast and set.
