10 Concerts & Shows in Austrias That You Shouldn't Miss

November 10, 2021 Agatha Simes

So many of Madrid’s buildings look like castles, you’ll think you’ve stumbled into a fairytale. Even City Hall is astounding, with its white pinnacles and neo-Gothic features. A self-guided architecture tour can begin by the great bear statue in the central Puerta del Sol. Wander by the fanciful Royal Palace before absorbing the natural beauty of Retiro Park, then visit one of the city’s many museums. You could happily cap off each day by nibbling on forkfuls of paella while sipping Spanish rioja.

We serve an excellent choice of tapas and drinks, which our clients can savour while enjoying the best flamenco show in Madrid. We do not only invite famous artistes to perform alongside our in-house musicians, but, due to our desire to keep flamenco alive, we also give an opportunity to young talent, as we have been doing for the last 40 years. Come and enjoy the best in flamenco…

Changing of the Guard

Reviewed By patagoniac57 - Orange, United States

We were fortunate to be in Madrid on the first Wednesday of March, when they have a more elaborate Solemn Changing of the guard at noon. The ceremony was quite large, with many ceremonial uniformed soldiers on horseback, royal marching bands, and marching units. They enter via the square in front of the Palacio Real and in front of the Cathedral de la Almudena. Then they enter the Palacio Real square. If you want to watch it from inside the Palacio Real square, you have to pay for admission to the palace. When we went, there was a huge line to get in. We just stayed outside. We preferred this to the Buckingham Palace guard changing. The crowds are not as intense as at Buckingham Palace.
