We booked a last-minute day trip to Halong Bay through our hotel concierges on Amazing Sails. We are glad that we did it. The service is very good. The activities were varied enough for a day trip. The cook is exceptionally talented. We had a 5-Star Restaurant food for a fraction of the price. He even made each of us a special meal as we each wanted a different thing.

Pro’s: - prompt pick up our hotel. - clean and safe vehicle, and well driven. Con’s: - Tour guide clearly had no idea of the strict rules in place at some of the venues e.g. that we could take photos outside of Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum. Told off by soldiers/guards multiple times. This shows a lack of understanding the rules and etiquette for someone who should be experienced. - Excuses were made when challenged. - Kept wandering off to get cash out. - Grasp of English limited and difficult to understand. Hard to engage and answer questions. - Trip seemed to finish very early (3hours), not really a half day tour.

We had a wonderful trip with our tourguide Le Trunk. He really made us feel comfortable from the beginning till the end. We even got to make some suggestions to go to, on top of what he planned for us. We made lots of photo stops at the most beautiful views. I recommend this trip to everyone who wants to see more of Vietnam than just the touristic stuff because this trip makes you truly feel like a local!

Contacted the night before by email and message at front desk of hotel to confirm times & pick up.Picked up from our hotel at the time stated relatively new mini bus with air conditioning. Bus held 12 only 6 on tour. Cold water provided. Scenic drive out to My Son with the guide pointing relevant points of interest as we drove to site (about 90 mins). The site was empty on our arrival (just before Covid 19 hit a number of countries had already stopped their nationals travelling). The site is small but worth seeing. We had to take an electric bus up to the site from the car park I would have preferred to walk as it was less than a mile. The guide was very informative and answered any questions brought up by the group. We had nearly 2 hours walking around and then back on the bus to Hoi An. We asked to be dropped in the Old town not at our hotel which the driver and guide facilitated. We had considered renting a scooter and making our own way there but it is quite a considerable distance, the weather very hot, traffic intimidating and roads are not always hard surfaced. Worth the money

We went to the Ha Long Bay tour and that was an amazing experience. Just one day tour but lots of things have been explored. The cruise is mordern and the staff very friendly. We enjoyed the cave so much and the lunch as well. We’ll be back again
The Marble Mountains are situated between Da Nang City and Hoi An ancient town and very closed to China Beach, which stretches for kilometres with clean and white sand and is one of the nicest beaches in Vietnam, which is very convenient for visitors who want to go climbing, trekking and exploring caves. It is so well known that many people consider it as the symbol of the area, and get studying buddhism in the new Museum of Buddhist antiques next to the cluster of 5 mounts.

Do visit if staying Da nang. Beautiful area where Lady Buddha stands. Marble mountain I visited was Water Mountain. Take the lift up as still fair amount of walking different levels. Lovely statues. Dragon Bridge, the dragon breathes fire every Saturday and Sunday night at 9pm, all traffic stops, unmissable! Enjoy beautiful Da nang and area. Suggest 4/5 days though we stayed for 9.

What a great golf course we have played. Like all clubs in this area it’s struggling because of Coronavirus with no Chinese or South Koreans travelling, so it was a surreal experience for us. Anyway very good caddies, brilliant course maintained to the highest standards, a great club house with great facilities.
