Gina was our tour guide. She was really good explaining the history and details of the culture. We stopped at a bakery, tequila factory, and silver shop. We contributed to the economy by buying small items here and there along the way. We ate a delicious lunch next to the town’s church. Overall it was great experience to visit this magical town. 2 hours from Puerto Vallarta.

We did the hike to the waterfalls—well the waterfalls were dry because it’s too dry but who cares? The hike was beautiful, our guide, Fein, was so incredibly nice and knowledgeable and personable. Dez was incredibly helpful and answered every question we had (we had a lot).We only did half the hike ending at the first beach of three—time constraints and a bad knee—so at the half way point we took a water taxi to the restaurant. The restaurant was on the beach, the food was plentiful and surprisingly delicious! I had told Dez it was my birthday and the restaurant had a birthday surprise dessert and the wait staff sang Happy Birthday. It was a lovely touch. I can’t say enough good things about Dez and her excursion. It was super!

This is always one of the highlights of my trip and I really missed it last year during COVID. What Elly and her team do through this program is exceptional! They have found ways to stay safe in the pandemic and continue to support their artisan partners. Please review their website and get to know the artisans who soon will be offering their goods through an e-commerce store. The artisans are so hospitable and share their stories so well. They are so willing to answer questions and tell us about their lives and work. It is so special to be able to purchase directly from the person who made it!

After purchasing cruise/tour from TripAdvisor, we came to know that we need to go convert the online voucher into a paper ticket. This needed to occur prior to the cruise and in a separate location. This was an unpleasant surprise and the local staff had a very hard time communicating in English. Though this cruise was marketed as a bilingual tour, in reality, very little attention was given to non-Spanish speakers which left us feeling excluded and confused. Facilities left a lot to be desired, the "Continental Breakfast" was ridiculous, to say the least, however, alcohol was ample. We were not warned of choppy sea and seasickness which were a real problem during our specific cruise. We were also not informed that the transfer to the beach would be in smaller "panga" boats. Overall, despite gorgeous views, this wasn't a good experience for our family

Every year around the end of November till the beginning of April we are honored to welcome the Humpback whale in our area. Once the water temperature changes, they come down with the colder currents from Alaska to mate and raise their babies. These incredible animals that can grow up to 52 ft are an absolute must see for nature lovers. Let these giants surprise you when they come to greet us peacefully; enjoy playtime of the newborn calves: a spectacular water show with turns and jumps guaranteed! Be stunned by their enchanting song, which can last up to 20 min and can be repeated for hours…

I went to San Sebastian. There were 3 of us on the tour, plus the guide and driver. They were very nice and knowledgeable. The town is up in the mountains. There really isn't much there but a small town with cobble stone street and a square. Not much shopping. We had a nice lunch. The nicest thing was seeing the mountain life on the way and stopping at a bakery, tequila maker and a coffee maker. It was very comfortable and a nice day trip to see some different scenery. The tour was run well.
