This glamorous palace is full of frescoes, sculptures, and features an astonishing gold and marble atrium—not to mention the main attraction—gambling! Steeped in 700 years of Grimaldi royal history, Monte-Carlo’s location is stunning, tucked between French medieval villages and the Alps. Take in a world-class opera or ballet, bask in the sun on Larvotto Beach or get an adrenaline rush at May's Formula 1 Grand Prix.

This is a wonderful place to visit and the entrance fee is great value for money, lots of lovely colourful displays of marine life and loads to see, the aquarium is in the basement with the upper floors being the museum, there is the usual shop as you exit and a cafe for a drink or bite to eat. Highly recommended.

My favourite view on the French Riviera. There is a little hike involved so make sure you have appropriate shoes but it’s not too hard. There is also gardens and the walk leading to the Palace is so beautiful!

Small Japanese garden with koi pond and a tea house. Takes 20-30 minutes to visit and even in the area they built heavily is quiet and clean.

We visited on a Sunday and it wasn’t very busy, which was nice. The collection is varied and well curated with some fantastic vehicles, it’s certainly well worth a visit. While we were there the exhibits ranged from early horse drawn carriages through to exotica and rally cars as well as exhibits about motoring in Monaco and car design. Entrance price was fair. I admit to being a car fan, with classic cars of my own, but my husband isn’t particularly interested and can get bored at some museums, but he wasn’t bored here. You should visit. When you go, look out for the pedestals holding the information cards, they are all different and made from car components.

The area around the statue itself is really nice and has nice views. The status reminds you of the greats of this sport and why Monaco is associated with the races.
