This is an oasis in the middle of the city. Beautifully designed and maintained it is an oasis many cities could learn from. Peaceful and quiet just walk around and let yourself be smothered in an ocean of natural beauty. Trees, flowers, rose's combined with structures inside the Children's Garden you will relax just being present here.

Lake Hume

Kind of the NSW roadblock to allow us diseased “Mexicans” to access the north side of Lake Hume dam wall. A beautiful and peaceful spot. Grassed areas, huge wall, spillway in action and educational engineering sign on hydro power generation. Did some fishing below wall in Murray and above lake (no luck, fish won the day).

Lots to do at this exciting place in the heart of Albury. The Crossing Place Museum has enough there to fill in an hour or more and learn something about our indigenous culture as well as some great info on Bonegilla and the first wave of migrants to come to the area. Then the library itself has papers to read and a huge range of magazines to browse. The internet is free as well and the staff are really helpful if you have any questions. The Retro Cafe is just down the hallway if you need a coffee and a snack or a light meal.

There's a wealth of info here of what to see and where to eat in town and the region. The lady gave us and excellent recommendation for lunch in the nearby wine area. Very helpful. BTW there's no toilet here, its in the nearby train station waiting room.
