Ninglinspo

A hidden Belgium gem - great place if you like nature, hiking and disconnecting for a couple of hours. And not even a long drive from Brussels. There are various hiking routes, very well singled. We did one with a medium length/ difficulty level and it was perfect (around 6 hours of peace, not very challenging climb, and beautiful scenery). Make sure you bring water, good shoes and energy. Parking is not ideal (pretty small, it was already fool on a Sunday morning), but you can find something around.

Les Lacs de l'Eau d'Heure

Reviewed By CsFid - Frankfurt, Germany

The interior of Belgium is absolutely gorgeous! Tiny villages with mostly grey, some red, stone and/or brick houses. A jewel hidden in the mid of Europe. And between some of these Wallone villages you find the five lakes L’Eau D’Heures: Lac de Falemprise, Lac de Ry Jaune, Lac de Féronval, Lac de Plate-Taille and the name giving Lac L’Eau d’Heures. While the summers here are probably very crowded, the Autumn is wonderfully quiet and perfect to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the lakes and it’s surrounding nature. The region invites to hike, run, ride a bike, play golf and practice a whole array of nautical sports. There are hotels, cabins and AirBnB locations to stay, groceries can be shopped in every small village, restaurants, breweries and gas stations are widely available.
