The family guesthouse Kaplanka is a perfect gateway to discover all historic sights and spend active holidays in Znojmo as it is located in the heart of the historical centre of Znojmo and within easy reach of a number of attractive targets. Pension Kaplanka offers accommodation in double and triple rooms and apartments, most of them are equipped with ensuite bathroom, respectively kitchenette. Daily hearty breakfast buffet is served in cafe of the guesthouse. In the pension areal there is also a wine bar which offers tasting of wines from Znojmo region and typical meals to the wine. Pension guests can use the ornamental garden to relax, the garden has a pond with the possibility of swimming or just sitting in the guesthouse courtyard with barbecue, all accompanied by the beautiful view of river Dyje. Furthermore, there is fully equipped kitchen, bike storage, Wi-Fi internet connection in entire areal and parking places in the courtyard at disposal to the guests.

Reviewed By Jaroslav Tpros: My second stay there. The owner and staff were very kind and helpful. The locations is great. The old building is charming. Rooms are spacious. We stayed in double bedroom apt. Nr. 16 and 17 (2x2 sep. beds) with a dayroom, table and bathroom and toilet. The kitchen corner was great. And the apt. Nr. 2 with a double bed incl. Bathroom and toilet. The breakfast was okay. The owner kindly offer lactose free and gluten free bfast. Just tell him in forward. There is a wine cellar you can enter directly from the guesthouse ground. The St. Nicholas' Deanery Church, restaurants etc. are very close. Parking is no problem which is great. cons: We found some mildew in the bathroom apt. 16+17. A TV in the dayroom wold be nice. Even when there is a TV in each bedroom. My friends found ants in the apt. 2 (direct entrance to the yard) , but the owner solved the problem immediately.

Reviewed By 1213raThis is a great place to stay, with plenty of space and nice people. Our room was comfortable, clean and equipped with a microwave, hot water kettle, glasses, dishes and cutlery. They allowed us to stay parked in the courtyard even after the 10AM checkout, so we could stroll the city longer. Access to the rooms is via a staircase, and there is no elevator, which may be an issue if you have heavy luggage or mobility impairment.

The Hotel "N" is situated in Primetice, which is a suburb of the town of Znojmo. Its location in the well known wine growing area is more than strategic. The hotel lies outside the busy centre full of traffic, but, on the other hand, it is just ten minutes' walk from the historical centre of Znojmo. It is only fifteen kilometres to the border crossing between the Czech Republic and Austria.
In dire need of a facelift, but hey, they accept dogs!
Reviewed By miadlouMy wife and I stayed here two nights and I must say it was the single most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. That is not hyperbole. A piece of wood would probably have been better. The hotel is extremely dated (the last time anything there was changed, the Czech and Slovak Republics were still most likely one country). Znojmo is famous for its cycling and hiking trails, hence the summer months are high season. The hotel has no A/C and no screens on the windows, so your choice is to sweat all night or get eaten alive by mosquitos. There are no shower stalls; only old-school tubs with no shower curtain. None of the rooms have double or queen sized beds. Every room has single beds. Not designed for a romantic weekend. Finally, the breakfast was laughable. It is served from 7-10, but the eggs are all cooked at 6:45 and left on warmers, so if you don't wake up and eat right away, they are cold and dry. There are many better choices around Znojmo.

Very nice place, not so pleasant hosts
Reviewed By Barbara ŠWe wanted to visit Znojmo with couple of friends for a hen party since our bride is not the type to go around clubs and bars, she mostly enjoy stay with some girlfriends and drinking wine. We chose this hotel because it looked very nice for girls to stay in and the owners seemed very helpful in the communication before the stay. Very surprising was that in the neighborhood was jail and hospital for long-term ill people. It was not a problem for us, but it might be for somebody. As I talked already with the owner and told her we are coming for hen party, she was very cheerful when we arrived. The hotel was really beautiful and the ambiance was great. As we arrived late on the first day we wanted just to chill with girls on one of the rooms and had some fun games for the bride. She was asthonish with the enviroment there. Unfortunately for us it is summer and we had opened all the windows because it was very warm inside, no AC there only a fan. We were a bit louder you can imagine that with 9 girls talking together. But there was no problem (or nobody told us) till 0:30 in the night. The owner (man) stormed in and told us that we are loud and if we won’t stop he will throw us away and call the police. We were quite surprised with that behavior, we apologized, told him that we will be quiet. But the behavior was really not nice, I would be more patient with the clients for the first time since we didn’t know if it is really so loud or that somebody had a problem. We started to say good night and he came again in a minute with more threats so we were not so polite either this time. He told us that we didn’t pay as we are some preditors or something, but we already agreed with the wife we will pay in the morning since we wanted to stay there the whole weekend. After that the wife came in and calm him down and we went to sleep immediately. In the morning we wanted to solve things out, came to the breakfast to talk with the owner, but she firstly didn’t want to let us in before we will pay. That was not nice either. After that we had agreed we will leave the hotel. I don’t want to belittle the quality of the hotel but the hosts are more happy to have there quiet couples and maybe it is better to say that before you agree to accommodate 9 girls.

Hotýlek má asi 10-12 pokojů, kdy nám slečna ukázala asi polovinu z nich, jeden hezčí než druhý, každý je originál a rozlišují se barvou, která je pro daný pokoj dominantou... (zlatý pokoj, kde jsme byli my, má postel s nebesy, krb, zlatou sedačku a v kuchyni dokonce i zlaté spotřebiče. Pokoj má i krásnou velkou pavlač. Dále jsme viděli stříbrný pokoj, červený, zelený, starorůžový, hnědý, žlutý.... nádherná jídelna.

Ideální ubytování v centru Znojma
Reviewed By Tomáš HJako vždy velmi ochotný personál. Možnost využití kuchyně (se dvěma lednicemi a kuchyňskou výbavou) jakožto společenské místnosti. Hezký a prostorný pokoj. Geniální lokalizace v centru města. Poměr kvalita/cena výborná. Všem doporučuji se zde ubytovat, jsem zde vždy velmi spokojený. Jako negativa musím upozornit pouze na drobnosti, které k tomuto ubytování patří, takže spíše jenom upozornění pro případné zájemce o ubytování: Pro rodiny s dětmi a s mnoha taškami složitější přístup do pensionu (více dveří a také více schodů do patra) - pro mě je to vždy fuška těch deset tašek oblečení a hraček vynést:) Nemožnost parkování (ale zatím není problém, za divadlem se zatím najde neplacené parkování na ulici, dokud tam neudělají parkovací hodiny nebo parkovací zóny). Samozřejmě, pokud je před pensionem místo, tak se dá zastavit a vynést věci z auta do pensionu.

Reviewed By AnnaGokWe appeared on the doorstep of the hotel at midnight sharp as we had to drive really slow because of very thick fog. Nobody opened the door. We called the given phone number to hear they can't help us as the check-in time is before midnight!!! We've travelled 2500 km from Russia through a lot of countries. In none of them we faced such attitude. It's a pity indeed that cases like this make you lose trust in TripAdvisor & booking.

Reviewed By 7UrbanwolvesHotel Solnice in Znojmo Czech Republic- so not nice! The TV doesn’t work- “it’s down across the whole hotel” but the next room’s tv is so loud they gave me earplugs. The earplugs do not drown out the noise of literally anything because the walls are so thin I can hear the neighbors fart! No minibar. No aircon. Hot as hell. I might as well stay in a tent in a trailer park ???
