Comfortable stay
Reviewed By dgriny799857Very nice room overlooking the swimming pool with a very comfortable bed. The shower could do with improvement. The bedside lamp did not work and there was nowhere to charge a cellphone or plug in the hairdryer. This was sorted out but should have been attended to before we arrived. There are very steep stairs down to the property from street level which could be a problem for some people.

Reviewed By Carol HI had prepaid accommodation but had to cancel a week later. Maison H was absolutely fantastic and refunded my full amount. Amazing service. Very helpful. Willing to change rooms as we needed a twin room. No problems.

We are a family-friendly bed and breakfast and we cater for business and holiday makers. We are a short 10 minute walk down to the Umhlanga beach and a 5 minute drive to Gateway Shopping Centre. We are in close proximity to the Village in Umhlanga with all the restaurants and shops. We do have a swimming pool and there are also braai facilities available for guests to use.
Scatter Cushions Galore
Reviewed By jacob736If you have a fetish for scatter cushions, then Old n New Bed & Breakfast is just the place for you. We counted about 12 scatter cushions on a double bed. Great looking during the day but storage space at night was a bit of a challenge, especially if you get back very late and very tired at night. Apart from that, this was a nice place to stay. Great location. Our only complaint was that I had to get out of the vehicle to open the entrance gate. This was unsafe. Our host did inform us, however, that the gate motor would be repaired soon.

Reviewed By johank708African Oyster is by far a very good deal. Friendly service and well located to the main roads and main attractions. Safety was a consideration for our stay, and that was fine. The rooms are adequate and clean, the mattresses need an upgrade though. The service was friendly and interaction with the owners fabulous, the dogs were a nice distraction, cuteness factor x2 ? Thx for a lovely stay Sydney.

Reviewed By scheva1102Wir wurden ziemlich unfreundlich empfangen. Die Dame wollte lieber wieder schnell in ihr Handy schauen als uns zu empfangen. Der Zimmereingang ging über die Terrassentür. Man hatte zwar einen Blick aufs Meer, konnte es aber garnicht genießen, da auch an der Terrassentür der Weg für die anderen Zimmer vorbei ging und man immer die Vorhänge zu lassen musste. Klima ließ sich garnicht regulieren, es war durchgängig kalt. Pflegeprodukte vorhanden, Fön fehlte. Frühstück miserabel und lieblos, erinnerte mich an Frühstück in einem amerikanischen Motel. Lage war ok. Können wir nicht empfehlen.

Excellent all round, hard to fault
Reviewed By PullenmomStayed in apartment 503 for a couple of nights Fantastic views to the ocean. The apartment basically has everything for 8 people. It is very well furnished, everything was spotless, lovely linen and beds, and BBQ, dishwasher and washing machine. No shortage of kitchen utensils and stuff. The pool is in a great setting, and the location is 3 minutes to the beach and about the same to the Mall where we found many great eating places. Note there is a 2 car garage with a lift to the apartment. Basically terrific.....a few bits of outdoor stuff could be replaced, but definitely very highly recommend.

A pleasant stay with a great sea view
Reviewed By Munsami647The proximity to the beaches, lighthouse, pubs and restaurants are fantastic. Resort rooms are clean and tidy. The security on duty wasn't the friendliest. Pool area was immaculate. There was a laminated message in the rooms asking residents to fold the blankets and put away in the cupboards which was very unexpected. But overall it was a pleasant stay
