I seldom write travel reports, but cannot pass this one. In a compound slightly off the main busy, dusty, noisy street, it is an oasis of tranquility. Rooms (not large but amply sufficient) and bathrooms are spotlessly clean, beds comfortable, WIFI functions well and, foremost, management and staff are exemplary in genuine hospitality, assistance, counsel. The garden restaurant with very palatable fare (try the camel steak or the grilled fish) adds to the pleasure of a stay in the Maamuus Hargeisa. It feels home out of home. And, I was forgetting, value for money is superb.

Big secure hotel with a bit of a run down vibe
Reviewed By hasan_matloob83Its a huge hotel with a large parking space, massive lobbies with plenty of room to sit around and alot of security. For this reason, govt personnel and foreign dignitaries frequent this hotel alot. You will always find various business meetings taking place in the lobbies. Mansoor is situated away from downtown. So don't expect alot of life outside the Hotel premises. However, the building itself is old and worn down. The rooms look tired and old. Corridors look like a picture from 1980s. The hotel is in need of an upgrade. Plus for some reason, there are more than usual amount of flies in the lobby. That keep bugging you in the day while having food. Staff is very friendly and courteous and they are the best part of Mansoor. The waiters will make friends with you quickly and will remember you when you visit next time. Food can definitely improve though. With new hotels being built in downtown and a much better variety of food options available there as well, i would only advice to stay in Mansoor if you have meetings planned in the Hotel. Else, staying in downtown is a much better and rewarding option.

They will help organize anything you need around town. This hotel is a bit dated since it is the oldest hotel in town, but it has been through a lot of history and as such has a lot of character. Decent WiFi in the central restaurant, hot water, good breakfast.

Fast wifi, lots of places to have meetings and get work done, and delicious cappuccinos. Highly recommend! They also offer airport pickup for a charge I believe, just ask when booking.

I was so impressed to see that the hotel has gotten even better than the last time I saw it! I had a shuttle service that picked me up from the airport and took me back as well. The owners facilitated a car for me for my trip to Garowe which was very gracious. My favorite part of my stay was how quiet the rooms/halls were considering it is in central Hargeisa. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The owners were both so polite and made sure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. The proximity to downtown is also a big plus. Finding good food I can trust is really important as well and the food and drinks were fabulous. Cleanliness was clearly a priority as well and I was very satisfied with my stay. Also, the owners and some staff are trilingual meaning I could communicate with them in Arabic Big thank you to the team at Bandare hotel! Truly my home away from home.

I felt safe and there is a restaurant which serves good food. From the hotel terrace you have a great view over the city to the sea.
