Reviewed By MikehaganDon’t let the understated exterior fool you! You know you’ve stumbled upon a gem the moment you walk through the door and are greeted by its capable proprietor Raul. He and his wife couldn’t have been more accommodating from start to finish!! He helped us carry our heavy bags n park our big van in the hotel’s nearby private parking lot, a huge bonus. We were glad to be a short 5-minute walk off of the noisy n crowded square on a quiet little street. Rooms were very tastefully done, spacious, clean, and supplied every need. Breakfast was bountiful, complete with homemade marmalade n bottled water for the road. Lovely garden to enjoy it in or just a cozy happy hour. Raul and his wife helped us out with our luggage and back out our van as they bade us farewell. Charming find in a very cool city - definitely worth a repeat!

The "Villa Santa Maria" is a family-run Hotel and opened its doors in December 2006. It is located in a quiet district of Sibiu. The rebuilt airport is also very close. The comfortable house is under German-Romanian management and provides seventeen spacious rooms (five with balcony and wonderful view of the nearby Fagarsch-mountains). Both owners have been working on international cruise ships for many years - their experience and impressions show all over the house. Whether you come to Sibiu for business or vacation - various destinations can easily be reached from here. For your comfort, a private parking area is at your disposal. If you should have any questions, we are happy and always prepared to help you.

Amazingly decorated rooms and corridors with souvenirs and photos from all over the world. Delicious food, always something different and homemade cakes. You can feel good spirit here.

Although, the cigarette smoke from the enclosed courtyard does come up to the rooms’ windows. Ask for room with windows to the street if that could bother you. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms large. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location-large room
Reviewed By RHtravelsWe had a little difficulty finding the hotel because it is behind a wall and gated door, but the location was a short walk to the town square. We were able to park our car for free on the street outside. The room was large, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was updated and modern. We slept well, even though the bed was a little firm. The only thing missing was a coffee maker in the room, which would have come in handy since we had to leave early before breakfast hours, but all in all this was a nice stay and we will stay again next visit.

Reviewed By AnonimaVienneseThe hotel, perfectly restructured, is faced on one of the central places in Sibiu. Four star hotel, rooms are on 2 levels, nice atmosphere, cosy and warm. But: breakfast was really poor, some cheese, ham, no fresh bread, only fridge bread that had to be warmed in the toaster. That didn't work, as it was broken. No honey, no choice of jams, only one kind of hotel jam. The coffee machine didn't work properly as well, no milk available. And the service ladies, chattering in another room, that didn't even come to check if everything was fine. And this is a 4 star hotel??

The location is very close to everything which helps the tourist if you have not previously visited Sibiu. We cannot recommend it enough. Delightful place, hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Reviewed By aurelia2015905It,s a family pension located about 500 m.from the city tower in the old city and 500 m from the train station.The hosts are very friendly and kindly offer any explanation.The room are very clean, spacious, well finished with Tv,A/C,refrigerator. The bathroom is well equipped and everything breathes safe. It has an indoor garden and a restaurant on the ground floor. I highly recommend an accommodation at this pension.
