This guest house is horrific
Reviewed By claudiateixThe reception was flooded with water when we arrived, so I was a bit shocked. The general state of the building is very poor and feels like it is falling down and at the same time it´s very dirty. There was dust everywhere, even in the restaurant, and the bathroom felt unhygienic. Those with sensitive lungs beware! The a/c filter had obviously not been cleaned for a long time and there is bad damp. There are holes in the plaster and shabby paintwork. Lastly, the shower was badly wired so we got a shock when we touched the taps.

Reviewed By BrasileirarjThe pictures on their website is a lie, when we first arrive we could see how old fashion the place is and the swimming pool is not a good maintenance, the staff called Antonio in the reception can not say you a word like " good morning " because he is so busy using the internet for social media, its was the begin of a very bad stay. The cot they said my daughter could sleep in was a rubbish, lots of hair and dirty things in the bedding and the smell was terrible in the bedroom, and this guy Antonio saw we had a baby 3 months just sent us to a second floor without lifts. This place is a total lie and the breakfast is terrible, dirty things smelling and tasting off. I wil never recommend this terrible place. The wifi doesnt work, only in the reception.

Reviewed By Gabriel CI traveled there with my girlfriend and my son. We loved it, specially because of the pool and the cool bar that you can sit and relax. My son had a great time enjoying the pool and the area. Good parking lot. Near the beach and some restaurants. Only problem was the ar conditioner that wouldnt turn cold.

Beautiful view, ugly water
Reviewed By aumuller2OThe hotel is nice, well decorated,spacious, has a good swimming pool and a beautiful front sea view. But the "contras" are strong: brown water from a well(no treated water system) and no service besides breakfast: you can´t ask for a sandwich or a cheeseburger. Only things to drink. The view is worth the price, but take your own water, to drink and for your beautiful hair....

Nice installations for wheelchair people
Reviewed By Gabriel CI stayed in this holt with my family and we had a big room, that was adapted to people that needs wheelchair, the case of my dad. The room was big and he could go in the bathroom easily to shower. No steps in the front door of the room, so he could be totally independent the whole time.

We got 11 suites with air conditioning, wi fi, fans on the ceiling, led (cable) tv, fridge,parking and free breakfast. Reviewed By 1843FirmaTake a room "no lado do mar" (looking to the sea) and you really have a look to the sea there, a bit more expensive (€37 for a couple instead of €25), but top rating. Comfortable room with balcony, good bed and everything you need inside. Brasilian breakfast with juices, fruits, good coffee, bread and bolos (cakes). Owners/attendants speak a bit English in case this is needed. AND it is only fifteen minutes walk from the main bus station (Rodoviaria) of Rio das Ostras - enter Beira do Mar when coming from the Bus station (2 minutes walk) and then follow the Beira until the end in direction South/Southwest.
