Quiet Getaway
Reviewed By 652winstoncA good location if you want to have a quiet time away from the touristy parts of Alishan/ Taiwan. Suitable for two nights max. of peace and doing nothing but stare at nature. Great for signature traditional Alishan tea, which is complimentary. It is advisable to book a taxi with the hotel in advance as it is not easy to find and navigate. (think very windy and narrow mountain roads) Meals begin at 8am and 6pm respectively and hot food is not readily available unless you are fine with instant noodles. You can ask the taxi driver to stop you somewhere to buy food before going up the mountain. Some rooms have a view of the the sunrise. Let the hotel know in advance. Do note that heavy rainfall I expected between April to June due to the altitude. Hotel staff are generally helpful but limited in their manpower and resources; do plan with them in advance if you would like a tour of Alishan or going to specific destinations.

Simple, but very good place in Ruili
Reviewed By KrisD_plPros: friendliness of the owners, although they do not speak English (you can speak by phone or e-mail in English with Rebecca who can help you if needed). The food - very tasty and diverse; price of dinner was very reasonable at TND 250. Size of the room, comfortable bed. Functional bathroom. You can sit with the host and try their oolong tea - and off course you can buy it onsite. Location is OK, but not in the center of the village. Good starting point for exploring the nearby trails (in my opinion you need to have a car in Alishan to fully appreciate it). Value for money given my general feeling that accomodation prices in Alishan tend to be high. Cons: the decor of the room is non-existent - some photos or paintings would bring a lot of ambience. Lack of shelves or wardrobe (but that's my general remark to most of accommodation in Taiwan).

Reviewed By Jannim1966Out of habitual touristic circuit, this charming place offers great quality for money. My room was basic 2 star level but clean and comfortable, with funny decoration. Good shower, poor towel quality. Vegetarian dinner was cheap and excellent. Hosts very friendly and helpfull. Great but steep hike in walking distance.

Reviewed By J4078XUamyc民宿在山嵐間的制高點，空氣清新，很適合放鬆的好去處。入住當晚在夕陽西下後有好幾個小時都是起霧的狀態，還好越晚雲層慢慢淡去。沒有光害的山上，滿天星斗看得很過癮。民宿主人夫妻很親切，用自家的茶葉準備不同的茶水讓我們品嘗，而預訂的晚餐有在親戚家搭伙的溫馨感。由女主人準備幾道家常菜，食材也包含自己種的蔬菜，沒有多餘的調味料，能吃出食物原有的鮮甜。附贈的早餐是很台式蔬菜鹹粥，自己磨得豆漿和手工的包子饅頭。 民宿的自在和舒適，很適合想遠離塵囂的旅人。

Reviewed By MAKO小隊成員為了觀賞火金姑，攜家人與友人前往，很幽靜的環境，空氣清新，讓人感覺心曠神怡，晚上觀賞火金姑時心中有股莫名的悸動，我小時候住的鄉下，到了這季節每逢晚上也是火金姑到處飛的奇幻景象。民宿老闆以及家人都很nice，早午晚三餐都是老闆準備的，廚藝很讚，餐點很好吃。
