Dreamland Bungalows is located beach front on one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, Taipú de Fora. All our 12 units have elegant design and are equipped with individual veranda (10 with ocean view), king size bed, minibar, Led TV 43, interphone, air condition and wireless internet. The pousada also has a charming bar right in front of the beach, where we serve refreshing drinks and great food. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere is set by the owners and the employees. We speak English, Portuguese and Norwegian. Welcome to paradise!

Since May 2014, the Viking Inn has operated as a personalized and familiar hotel in Taipú de Fora, Barra Grande - BA. We have suites with good quality and the following categories: STANDARD Double Room, SUPERIOR Double Room, STANDARD Queen Room, SUPERIOR Queen Room, STANDARD/SUPERIOR Triple Room and finally a DUPLEX Quadruple Room, a four bed room in 2 floors. We also have an inviting outdoor swimming pool annexed to a cosy bar. In addition, there is a games room with snooker table, chess, darts and a card table. Why not enjoy a good drink in one of our bars or a tasty meal in our restaurant. We have a relaxing social area around the swimming pool where you can spend some time after a day at the beautiful beaches around here. Viking Inn Boutique Hotel is located only a short walk (8 - 10 min) from Taipu de Fora Beach.
Very nice hotel, to have a quiet stay in a nice atmosphere
Reviewed By Jérémie GWe stayed there 2 nights. It is more expensive (400 Rs) than the other pousada we have been to (more around 250 Rs a night). Tip: book directly in their website, really cheaper than Booking! The room is nice and cosy, clean. There is a swimming pool. It is calm and the staff is really nice. It is a real hotel! The only thing you have to be concious of is the location. It is not close to the village of Taipu if you do not have a car. But we went the two nights in Taipu, by the beach (safe). Beach is 10 mn, less people than in Taipu. It took around 35 40 mns to go to the restaurants of Taipu. The stars on the way are amazing so... Taipu is very calm, some restaurants are closed at night even in high season!

Lodging among tropical trees
Reviewed By XicoreaWe came to Pousada Fruta Pão on the recommendation of some friends who had stayed there before. We thoroughly enjoyed our five-day stay. It is named after a huge breadfruit tree in the middle of the property. The inn consists of several bungalows surrounded by a soothing tropical garden and trees, many of them identified. They are located on one of the main streets of Barra Grande, fairly close (but not next) to the beach. Because of the trees and plants, street noise hardly reaches the rooms. Our room was spacious and simply yet tastefully decorated. The bed and mattress were comfortable and everything worked well. A point for improvement would be storage space. Other than some hangers, there is hardly anywhere to put your clothes and things if you want to unpack. But this is a minor detail. Outside our room we had a couple chairs and a table, where we would sit and read after the beach. The buffet breakfast was generous and included juices, breads, cakes, cheeses, eggs, tapioca, and other local tasty specialties. Service was outstanding. Staff were attentive and thoughtful, and the owners very friendly and ready to give local tips. We could not have asked for more. Kudos for the owner, who is very engaged with the local community, to the point of helping set up a local library and organizing free movie sessions in the town’s small main square. By the way, we learned this by chance, it is not something he advertises. We enthusiastically recommend Barra Grande, particularly off peak season, and in special Pousada Fruta Pão.

Beautiful garden with attention to all the details, including a little open burd house where they freely come for feeding. We saw monkeys and little lizards are everywhere - a nature delight. Rooms are very comfortable with high ceiling, fan and great A/C equipment. Comfy bed. Breakfast is delicious with a great assortment of local flavors (cakes, breads, fruits, tapioca/omelette of your preference). Beach and bar service. The chairs are always clean and every table has a beautiful flower arrangement. Probably due to the pandemic the beach menu offer for food is quite small mostly includes fried food…no fresh greens, fruit platter or grilled preparations which I leave as a suggestion. Regarding location, they are only 150mts from downtown which is very convenient and at the same time, you can enjoy peace and quiet atmosphere all day long. I will definitely come back and recommend them!!

There are many nice pousadas but whenever we have the chance we come to our favourite: Espaco do Sagui. It is very comfortable and gives the feeling of being at home. The owners indeed do everything to make their guests feel at home. The rooms are specious, tasteful and well tended. Peaceful and lots of shade. Perfect location, only 200 m from the beach. And a nice touch: complementary cake and cafezinho served all day long! Highly recommended!

Beautiful and welcoming
Reviewed By Paulo65537We stayed for three days in this Pousada and had a great time. Aline gave us many tips to spend the day, and helped us booking wonderful experiences. The natural pool of Taipu de Fora is great for snorkeling when it is low tide. One can see a few coral fishes, and the water is warm, so one hour exploring passes really fast. We booked a quadricycle for a day and visited Lagoa Azul, the Giant Bromelias, Cassange beach, Taipu de Dentro, Mutá beach and Barra Grande. The next day we booked a speedboat and explored the islands and Tremembe waterfall. The grounds of the pousada are very green with many fruit trees and many places to relax. The breakfast had many cakes, fruits and we always order a lovely tapioca. It gets very dark at night, but Taipu de Fora is very safe (the locals say that it is because the road has so many holes, that a criminal would not have time to leave, before being catched by the police). Thank you for everything!

Reviewed By diniz2015Me and my wife with our small airplane and landed at the hotel´s runway, which is suitable only for really small aiplanes - no jets please. The people welcomed us with a nice and friendly atmosphere. When we are leaving, we received a gift: a huge fish (tambaqui) caught at the lagoon just in front of the hotel. Nice!!!

The room was spacious and well appointed, with a private pool, which proved useful after a long beach walk. Food was their weaker issue. It was fine, but not varied enough (especially relevant since the hotel is far from everything else). There was a huge ammount of flies competing for our food. Mosquitos would be fine; but flies are usually related to dirt...

The staff is super friendly and the food served is very good! The bungalows are simple, but met all our needs! When we went the road to access the hotel was pretty bad, you are better off renting a 4x4.
