Old but quite comfy
Reviewed By 729stefantThis place is odd somehow: It has seen better days, granted. But the room we had was still quite comfortable, especially the bed was a positive surprise. On the other hand there is not much furniture you can really use - and especially power sockets were dearly missed. Water cooker and hair dryer are outside your room for general use. The good flat screen TV is a sharp contrast to the... how to put it?... primitive bathroom and toilet. And beware of the staircase - you'll have to haul your luggage up on your own. On the positive side: the rooms may be unpretentious but at least they are clean. Staff is nice enough, but you have to report your arrival, reception may not always be open for check-in...

Klitgaarden is a cozy farm in the middle of the beautiful and special nature in the north of Denmark. Karen and Svend are living on the farm, and are the first too great you on arrival. Klitgaarden is laying only 1 km from a nice sand beach. Here is peace and quiet, an oasis for body and soul. Bed and breakfast -Beautiful apartments with ocean view -3 well-equipped and approved handicap apartments -Nice and bright rooms -Big activity room at your disposal -Free Wi-Fi -High chairs and bed for kids -Free parking -We have a no smoke policy

Reviewed By David SWe stayed at Klitgaarden for three nights. This was our third visit to this beautiful, unspoiled corner of northern Jutland. We were delighted (and much relieved) to find that everything continues at the same high standard we experienced during our last visit in 2014. Skallerup Klit seems timeless: a quiet, picturesque and unique landscape, in the heart of nature, while on the Klitgaarden farm Svend and Karen are as welcoming and hard-working as ever. The accommodation is just as delightful, spotless and well-maintained, and Karen's breakfasts are just as generous and delicious. Ironically, this peaceful haven is quite a crossroads - staying at Klitgaared while we were there were families from Sweden and Italy: it's a friendly and interesting place. During this short stay we visited Skagen, Lonstrup and Lokken - towns which are full of character and art. These were easy journeys - the position at Klitgaarden really is ideal for anyone who wants to explore this fascinating area, and with luck acquire some splendid contemporary ceramics, blown glass or paintings.

Good place to spend the night ahead of the ferry
Reviewed By Camiel SWe found this place as we needed to get the ferry to Norway early and needed a place to stay. Case Boye was close to port, restaurants (10 minutes by car). We had two separate rooms with our family of 4 and had a good night sleep and a fresh shower in the morning. If you are a sensitive sleeper, this may not be the place for you, as the train runs behind Casa Boye and starts running at 5 am.

This B&B is just outside the northern Jutland town of Tversted, 1 km from a sandy beach. Set on a working stud farm, it provides 7 rooms, free Wi-Fi and a shared kitchen.Stald Nordkap Farm Holiday’s rooms are located in the farm’s newly renovated, converted stables. Cosy warm and welcoming place
Reviewed By hcp2016I have been on a trail with my horse and stayed at Stald Nordkap. Superior service and support, hospitality and nice people. Of course if you expect a 4 stars hotel, clean concrete floors and a wellness center you should chose a hotel. A farm is not a place for high heels. I have stayed hundreds of nights at hotels world wide and prefer the individual rather cold cleaned. And on this trip, of course I have been with my horse. If you enjoy country side, farm and horses you are probably right here. Enjoy the nature of northern Denmark.

Excellent location and great hosts
Reviewed By frannyinDKMy husband and 2 teenagers needed to get out and see some new surroundings during this Covid lockdown. We decided to take a little trip to Hirtshals and found a great deal here with a 2 bedroom B&B with a little living room area. Majestic sea view from the living room and 1 of the bedrooms . There is a common kitchen with everything you need to prepare food, and a beautifully decorated common eating area with panoramic view over the sea. Great base to explore the surrounding nature. 100m to the waterbeach and 50m to nearest guided walking paths including one which lead around many WWII bunkers. The included Breakfast service is closed due to Covid but it was no problem getting good quality ready prepared food from the local supermarket which could be warmed up in the kitchen. Great deal right now if you are looking to relieve your Covid anxiety and enjoy the fresh west wind. Will definitely come back to enjoy this great little pearl when the days are lighter and the Covid restrictions are lifted. Hosts are super nice with lots of tips for the area.

Hotel Strandlyst, dating back to 1895, is located on the north-west coast of Jutland. The ferry terminal in Hirtshals is a 5-minute drive away, where you also find the North Sea Aquarium. Free on-site parking in available. All the rooms at Hotel Strandlyst are individually decorated and sized. All the rooms have a seating area and Private Bathrooms. In the tradition of the Danish “Badehotel” there are no TVs or radios in the rooms, however there is WiFi in all areas of the hotel. At Hotel Strandlyst you can enjoy your breakfast every day. The breakfast is based on local and sustainable products. And there is a terrace, where you can enjoy the sun, your breakfast or just a cup of coffee or a drink. The hotel staff can recommend area activities, such as hiking and cycling or a day at the beach. A 10-minute walk away is Tornby Beach. Aalborg and Frederikshavn are less than one hour away by car.

Reviewed By Melissa PCHARMING AS F—. Though we initially got a little lost on our drive there, after calling the hosts/owners, we made our way to their beautiful property. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment in the separate building but ended up being their only guests at the time. I wish we had stayed longer than one night. The ponds in their yard gained a slight fog that with certain light looked cinematic. We enjoyed a huge breakfast of breads, jams, cold cuts, eggs, all made by the owners, including a bread made entirely of seeds. As we chatted with the hosts, birds of all varieties flew up to the window. She also has hilarious tubes her koi can swim into in one of the ponds. This place is perfect to relax, chill out, and read a book by the pond. Worth the trip.

Fem rom i annen etasje, over restauranten (obs: meget bratt, nær «hønsestige» opp), og tre rom i bygningen i bakgårds-haven. God størrelse på rommene som er både TV- og kjøleskap-frie. Baderom med dusj. Hotellet (som heter Hotellet ! ) har byens eldste restaurant, total-oppusset i 2020 som er byens best, og kanskje eneste (?), gourmet-restaurant, komplimenter med meget god vinutvalg og kunnskapsrike servitører ??
