The Townhouse Motor Inn - Horsham is a great place to stay for business, couples or family. Always presented neatly and very clean. The rooms are not small and very comfortable and have a great en-suite. They provide everything you may need; microwave, milk, disinfectant, a selection of chips & chocolates to purchase, TV, an aircon for all seasons and a fantastic pool area and more! The owners, Jacky and Dave are helpful, caring and very happy to help all clients with any needs you may have. Stays have always been pleasant, professional and well worth the stay! I highly recommend the Townhouse Motor Inn, as the priority accommodation if you visit or pass through Horsham :)

Nice touches like MUGS for cups of tea instead of mini cups and saucers was appreciated, tea, snacks and alcohol was provided and loads of information about the local area,

Alarm went off at midnight (scratching around in the dark to pull the plug). Got up early needing a good shower.. ran water for about 5 mins before temp was ok, then i realized the room only had a face washer, hand towell and bathmat... finally got comfortable and water went very hot!.. and had to get out quick!.. and dried myself with the bathmat...?. checked out for a much needed coffee!?‍?

Arrogant owner

Never again. This place needs to shut their doors now it's so poorly run and an ambarrasment raw meatballs and burnt parmi. Owner couldn't care he claims he has the best chef he's ever had. Well when you see the pathetic basic menu clearly chef is not capable of much. However it was the owners attitude that really needs to be addressed.

Great place for an overnight stay in a small country town

Reviewed By greytravellerSydney

Great place to stay when doing the silo trail. Rang Will as advised when arrived and he was there in a few minutes. It appears Will owns the six2six bakery/General Store across the road and offers free coffee to all the people who stay at the motel in the morning.this was a great customer service gesture. We stayed in Room 4 Queen Bed,A/C microwave ,toaster,Tea/coffee , only long life milk(no fresh milk) ,Toaster ,table with 2 chairs and another small chair. We needed to use one for a bedside table as there was only 1 in the room,Cupboard and luggage rack, Bathroom had Body wash,Shampoo and conditioner Body lotion and a hairdryer. The Shower had a screen door which is always nicer than a curtain. Parking outside was opposite the Rooms (clearly marked numbers) against the wall so other people could drive in and out. It was on the main street but little or no road noise at night. I would certainly recommend this motel to others if staying in the area.

Very enjoyable pub meal

Sunday night dinner in Ararat is not filled with choice but the Courthouse bar and grill was open and was a great choice. A pleasant character dining room serviced by a central bar that also serves the front bar. Simple pub food that doesn’t disappoint. We had Bangers and Mash with the freshest salad I have just about every had. The wine list is limited but locally focussed which isn’t an issue as the region produces good quality wines. Super pleasant barman and prompt service,

Awesome Ararat Stay

Reviewed By neepfamily

A genuine warm welcome awaits at The Barkly Accommodation. It is rare these days to be able to do a regional stay where you can enjoy accommodation, drinks, dinner bed and breakfast at extremely reasonable prices. That it exactly what you will experience at The Barkly with a warm welcome, friendly service and a crackling fire in the dining room to complete your stay. The accommodation is all upstairs and shared bathrooms/toilets are a few steps away from your room. The rooms are basic but clean, warm (we stayed on a cold winters night) and lovely linen and fluffy towels are provided. This accommodation is not for everyone, the corridors feel a little cold on arrival but dont let this deter you. Once you are settled in there are plenty of spaces downstairs to relax and enjoy delicious food, great house wines and after a great nights sleep, a hot shower and a freshly cooked breakfast of your choice in the morning (included in your room rate). You cant go wrong! We will return and have highly recommended The Barkly to family and friends. Thank you to the crew at The Barkly you are doing an amazing job. Kelley and Kevin.

An experience!

I rarely give a 2 star rating to any establishment and certain aspects of this stay were very good. But there were a lot of negatives hence the low rating. I rang at 3.30pm asking for a quiet room, and was told they had one at the back but it had a smaller bathroom. I wasn't worried about that and said we'd take it thinking it would have less truck noise (it didn't). I told them we'd be about 1 hour. Thanks to Google we had some difficulty finding the motel so we rang. The woman said they were near a petrol station but couldn't tell me the name of it. She then passed me onto her husband to help with directions, but he also spoke poor English. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly, paid our $120 and were told to drive around the back to room 18. So we left the gravelled road and at the back came across overgrown grass, weeds, huge puddles and mud. My husband was hesitant about continuing to drive but I said it must be here so we continued around the back to the one and only room, #18. We parked so that I could get out and step into the concrete pad in front of the room. The rain had eased and I unlocked the room to find the floors wet and the room very cold. I'm not sure whether it had just been mopped or the wetness was from the fact it was that cold in there. I needed to go to the toilet so went in and saw what she meant by a small bathroom. I couldn't sit on the toilet without hitting my knees against the wall! My husband wanted to change rooms but we had already brought our bags in our of the rain so decided to stay. So we stayed in our coats and put the air con on. It was noisy (new system apparently) but it slowly warmed up the large room and dried the floors. Why the owners couldn't put in on when I said we'd be an hour I don't know. The room was clean and had 2 queens and a single so ideal for a family of 5. 1 queen and the single had electric blankets but not the other. The bathroom was the width of the shower, had a very small basin and the toilet which you had to sit on sideways, unless you were very very short. The bed was comfortable and in the morning it didn't seem so bad. We had dinner in the Chinese restaurant and when we arrived the room was so cold I asked whether he had the heating on and he said he did, but he rushed over and put it on. Even thought he had aircon he chose the gas heater which did nothing. We ate in our puffer jackets and were the only customers. The food was very nice though. We also couldn't get the TV to work so he came and adjusted the cable. After watching the news we thought we'd watch Netflix but needed to log in. No password was provided so we gave up and watch free to air. If access to the room wasn't so bad I would have given 3 stars but it was like driving through a paddock, and the rain didn't help. Our neighbour the horse came up and said goodbye in the morning.
