Very good place for a short stay
Reviewed By Michael CThe hotel is very convenient and very closed to the Iracema beach. The top floor has been just refurbished. The employees are very nice and keen on helping you. The swimming pool is not very convenient but exist. The breakfast is ok. The wifi is available and free.

Excellent option in Fortaleza

The hotel is small without all that fancy sruff you may find at Beira Mar proper, but the value is great! Comfortable rooms, hot shower, excellent breakfast (3 types of cakes, several hot options including local tapioca and hot sandwiches, juice, fruit, coffee, tea, different kinds of bread... lots of delicious options!), and the service is AMAZING! Vera, the manager, is the sweetest! She and her staff will go above and beyond to acommodate you, make sure you're comfortable and always with a smile on their faces. I travel a lot and I can safely say it is one of the best services I've ever had at a hotel! Finally, the location is great. You're just a block away from Beira Mar without having to pay the high price of the more expensive hotels. I recommend it 150%. We won't stay anywhere else but there when we come to Fortaleza again!

Nice looking hotel, poor looking area.
Reviewed By WaltparkThis hotel is let down by the area in which it is situated. To be fair I prefer to see it as a place that is still being developed and it did not help a lot when I was advised to go for walks only in the direction of the other hotels. In future we will probably pay a lot more for this hotel as it is close to an excellent beach - Praia do Futuro. The service was good and you can probably get anywhere from here by bus during the day.

Reviewed By funnychap24This humble pousada is located across the street from 2 different beaches separated by a breakwall (one side has a calm beach and the other side with waves). My stay was decent. The employees are pleasant and willing to help. They were even eager/happy to practice their English. Breakfast wasn't anything special although it was available and included in the daily rate. It should be noted that the cleaning staff worked hard, were pleasant, and willing to provide you with any items your bathroom, etc. lacked. Walking the boardwalk/main street at night is one of the great things in Fortaleza. I highly recommend doing that. When I return (for my third time) to this city, I'll most certainly look into Pousada Atalaia again.

Friendly and helpfull staff
Reviewed By Lasse PStayed here for 10 days and have absolutely nothing to complain about. The saff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfeast is not excellent but still good. The rooms are big, and the cleaning is very good. The hotel is located very close to the beach and not so far from centrum. It is a cheap hotel compared to the service provided. I woukd definetly come back. The only downside is that the wi-fi is very unstable but it works. Sometimes.

Do not stay here ! Worst experience ever !!
Reviewed By Digitalnomad108The Staff speaks absolutely no English and the nighttime reception boy was very rude and aggressive. There was no real breakfast as promised only stale bread and coffee from the day before. The hotel is very poorly maintained and railing is coming off. The bathrooms are very small and and handle is coming off. The pictures are very misleading. They will try to scam you and ask for extra money . Very poor value ! We felt very unsafe here and wanted to leave the second night ! Keep looking.
