Fabulous B&B in Aarhus
Reviewed By flute61My family of 4 stayed at Horhavegarden August 1st and 2nd. This was a wonderful place! The hosts were very friendly and helpful as we explored the region. They provided a superb breakfast each day. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was simple and beautiful. There was a loft bedroom, a second bedroom on the main floor. A small kitchen with everything you would need including a dishwasher. A small dining/sitting area. There was a lovely private patio out back with a table and chairs. The ocean was about a 3 block walk away. The building has been splendidly renovated and has a thatch roof. Free parking too! I would absolutely stay there again!

Reviewed By autravelbugThis hotel is within 10 mins walk from the train station. It may be a bit hard to find using google as it directs you to paths with stairs which isn’t suitable when you have a big luggage. You have to walk straight through inside the Scandinavian centre and use the elevator/ escalators there (3 sets of escalators down towards the ground level). Once inside you’ll see car hire office sixt and take the exit closest to this office on your left. From there, the hotel is next to the bowling alley. Checkin is either self service or go down to basement to reception. The room is relatively spacious and with great facilities- full kitchen (oven, microwave, cooktop even a dishwasher!) my room also has a balcony. Room is also sound proofed. Windows and balcony door can be opened when you feel a bit hot but you will hear some noise when you open these. Wifi is good. Twin bed is on the small side. They have laundry facilities (paid) which I did not use. Overall I would recommend this place to others.

Reviewed By igneous1We had a pleasant stay at Auning Kro. I was able to easily split the double bed into separate twins. I think it must be a dog friendly place as I met a nice dog there after hearing barking in the halls. The service is limited by a lack of staff. We were treated well when we could catch someone. There is a nice, well-lit dining room (with limited kitchen hours), and more to my liking, a smaller, dark bar room where I struck up a conversation with a friendly Dane. The location is quite central, across from the library. This can mean steady, low traffic noise in the morning (mostly a lot of swishing sounds). A nice bakery is a very short walk away. Our room had a strong WiFi signal, and the radiators were effective in keeping the room warm when needed.

Reviewed By Wanderer23948115432Quiet and newly renovated place, 10min from the highway. 2 rooms with 4 comfortable beds + living room. Fully supplied kitchen should you wish to cook. We enjoyed it. We stayed for one night only and did not explore the surroundings, but it looked peaceful and quiet.

The B&B is located in a charming house on the Danish countryside, with lovely views and close to the highway. You're staying with a middle aged coupled who rent out a garden cottage, a separate suite (fully equipped) reachable from the outside and two inside rooms on the first floor. We stayed in one of the latter rooms. The room is big enough for a couple and two younger children. You have to share the small bathoom with the other room tough. There is a fridge with drinks you have to pay (it's cheap) on an honesty basis. The couple is really nice. Breakfast is delicious, they even baked glutenfree bread for us, which we could take with us when we left. The garden is wonderful and invites for a stroll. There is not much to do in the surroundings, so you have to take the car to get somewhere. Wifi is free and fast.

Well, until we contacted Søren from Motel Viborg. He wasn’t at the Motel but explained me how to find a key in the late hours of a Friday. No questions, just a friendly host letting me stay without any concerns. A level of trust you rarely find anywhere else, but something memorable. The day after, he put a fridge in my room and filled it with goodies for breakfast. Service beyond expectation and truly recommendable. Oh, and the room is lovely! The worlds needs more people like him.

Luxurious Bed and Breakfast in a beautiful nature surroundings in Engesvang. Placed only 5 minutes from the highway, 15 minutes to Herning, 45 minutes to Aarhus and 10 minutes to Silkeborg center. New renovated rooms furnished with luxury furnitures from House Doctor, moreover there is free coffee/tea facilities and individual shower and toilet. Free wi-fi and possibility to order breakfast.

Reviewed By oldekrogen2We were going on a family visit in nearby Silkeborg and found the hotels to pricey for what we needed. Found Hedegaarden B&B in Engesvang with high ratings and decided to try. It is located down a forest road with hardly anyone around. It is a very peaceful and beautiful area. The room we stayed in was very small but had a new bathroom. The room is clean and well kept, and there was amenities in and outside the room such as fruit, coffee, tea and little biscuits. The B&B has a spacious common room where breakfast is also eaten. The outdoor facilities looked very nice with a bbq area, trampoline and giant size chess.

Reviewed By PaulF578The hotel is situated on a busy one lane each way road, about 10 minutes drive from Randers city centre. One one side of the road is the main building. This had the restaurant and some hotel rooms. On the other side of the road were about 6 apartments. We had one of these. It had a full kitchen and very large living room and steep narrow stairs on one wall which took us up to the bedroom. There were no facilities upstairs apart from the bed. You could not hear the traffic at night due to good sounds proof Windows and we slept with the bedroom window open and hardly heard a thing all night. Check out was 11am and the cleaner was hovering outside long before that. The room had a shower but no bath. Plenty of free car parking right outside the door, but just as we were checking out about 10 cars full of greyhaired women arrived for lunch in the restaurant across the road. They were a bit inconsiderate with their parking. There are plenty of hiking trails and a meandering river very close to the hotel. Also, keep your eyes open for a delicious and very popular bakery just before the first traffic lights on your way into town

The place doesn't look very cosy at arrival and some rooms have shared toilet and shower but the extremely clean and well organised facilities and the very good breakfast sure make up for that. Owner Ingrid is on top of things and always busy, but makes time for your questions.
