Reviewed By AlfredlongrichYou can taste one of the fresh and best sashimi in any of the fish market located just next to the jetty at Dongang(东港）. A 30 minutes ferry ride will take you to one of beautiful island at 小琉球。One should rent a cheap motorbike on a rest and easy Island rides. There are plenty to see and treasures in this small island. Beaches are beautiful and by far one of best Crystal clear water ever saw. It's well recommended for either a day trip or overnight stay at this lovely 小琉球 island.

Great Way to Experience Local Culture in Southern Taiwan
Reviewed By Rodney EI had a great stay here this past May. The property is very clean and well-maintained. There's also a bar with great cocktails downstairs, which is really convenient for socializing and unwinding after a long day of sightseeing around the area. The hostel's staff as well as its lovely and charming owner was of great help in finding cool stuff to do around town, and they can get you discounted tickets for things like the ferry to Xiaoliuqiu where the green sea turtles live. Other highlights in Donggang include a beautiful temple and a famous tuna market where you can have a delicious seafood meal. To get to The Way Hostel and Bar, you have a couple options if you're coming from Kaohsiung, including the bus and a shared taxi. Or, if you don't mind spending more for convenience, you can just use Uber now that it's available in Taiwan once more.

Reviewed By jtwteoThis B&B definitely lives up to its reputation as being the best in town. Booked a standard quad room, was upgraded to a deluxe quad upon check-in without even having to ask! You will certainly feel like one of their own staying here and every single one of their wonderful staff goes out of their way to make you feel extra welcome. Must try is their house dessert special: ice-cream toasted bread. There are two varieties: the jenga-tower and the volcano. I personally found the jenga-tower type extra special and extra delicious! My 9-year daughter's comment (who is an avid food critic): "Although this is not a 5-star hotel, the food is 10-star!" 12-year son's comment: "This place is so new, clean and organized, plus the staff are all so friendly!"

Excellent stay with incredible restaurant
Reviewed By CanuckonashoestringWe stayed here as a group of 9 people in four rooms. The variety of accomodations guarantees something for everyone. The resort seems to still be working on some of the finishing touches to the property, but it has much to recommend it: a pleasant treed yard to walk through, a working chocolate factory on the grounds which you can tour, and a store to go with the factory. Our rooms were spacious and modern and private - very comfortable. We also had the outdoor dining/visiting area outside of our room in Villa 2, which was a great place for us all to gather at the end of the day. The only thing we lacked as a result was a refrigerator in the room - the one outside seemed to be the one we were given. The food in the restaurant was incredibly good - every dish was outstanding (and we tried many over lunch, supper and breakfast). Fine gourmet dining at every meal. I highly recommend this resort!

簡素で清潔な民宿だが4階がきつい。夜市が近いかも
Reviewed By tanibito屏東市内で仕事がありましたが、屏東は泊まるところがないので、訪ねてみたかった東港に車を40分ほど走らせて行ってみることにしました。こちらの民宿を選んだのは、夜市に近そうなことと、料金もお手軽なこと、バスタブがありそうなこと、普通のアパートを民宿に改装したようなので東港に住むならどんな感じになるか体験してみたかったことなどが理由でした。結果、簡素で清潔な民宿でしたが、部屋が4階だったのでスーツケースを抱えて階段を上り下りするのは大変でした。残念ながら4階はバスタブもなくシャワーのみでした。建物は4階建てで、1階がロビーで共用の冷蔵庫などはここにあり（部屋に冷蔵庫はありません）2階と3階は家族用の大部屋でバスタブがあり、1〜2人用の部屋は4階に2部屋あってシャワーのみでした。オーナーさんとは一度も会うことなく電話だけでチェックインからチェックアウトまで済み簡単でした。周囲ものどかなエリアでのんびりしました。Wi-Fiも問題なく使わせてもらいました。2泊しましたが、途中のクリーニングはなく、2泊目はドアの前に新しいタオル類や水が補充されるというシステムでした。子どもさん用の玩具など部屋にありますし、2〜3階に入る家族向けにはいい宿と思いますが、階段しかないので、ご老人や重いスーツケースのカップルには4階はきついかもしれませんね。なお、大きいと聞いていた東港の夜市は水曜と土曜の夜だけで、残念ながらそれ以外の夜はやっていませんでしたのでご注意（私は予定していた土曜の夜に急用が入り結局行けませんでした。連休中でしたが他の日は開かれませんでした）。なお、駐車場はありませんが、田舎なので周囲にどこでも停めていいと言われました（笑）。
