The beach is located only at 4km from the Hotel. Hotel Le Chandelier offers choice of attraction that customers could go for such us Pubs, restaurant, clubs.

Pretty decent business hotel but don’t do dinner
Reviewed By PassionatelyNomadicThe staff at the Emeraude were lovely and very nice. The rooms were totally fine although a bit run down but had AC and a mini fridge. The garden where you eat breakfast is very pleasant. I was pumping breast milk while away from my baby and they kindly let me freeze the milk in their kitchen. My one complaint about the room was the bathroom didn’t have any netting on the vented windows so mosquitoes came in. I would definitely stay there again but I don’t recommend trying to have dinner there. One night we were so tired we didn’t go out and I ordered a hamburger and my two colleagues ordered pizza. After almost an hour the pizzas came out and the waiter informed me that there was no hamburgers. After an hour of waiting! Needless to say I wasn’t happy and ended up getting the quickest thing on the menu which was a microwaved cheese baguette. Not the best dinner I’ve ever had. So stay at the Emeraude but find other places for dinner! ?

Nice hotel
Reviewed By rschyvensIt is a typical African provincial hotel, Not to fancy, not really isolated, so you hear all the noise. Kitchen is traditional burundian food. So many steps in between the rooms, and I do not mean stairs, but between the bedroom and the bathroom, there is a step. But taking all this aside... it is clean and the staff is very helpful...

Quiet and safe for business travelers
Reviewed By Gingersnaps33I stayed at the Garden Hotel for about 3 weeks on a business trip. The hotel staff were kind and friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the veranda in the mornings, overlooking the pool and garden. The hotel is very quiet, and there is a nice view from the rooftop patio. The only negative comment I have, is that the food was not very good. The breakfast was minimal and the menu was limited and expensive. However, right next door to the hotel is a popular buvette with cold beers and tasty brochettes.

Perfect getaway
Reviewed By Faustin LThis is one hidden gem. Crystalline beach complete with palm trees. Very quiet place. Perfect for honeymooners. The food is great, waiters are very helpful and kind. The downside is that it is a most sought after wedding venue for the more affluent Bujumbura residents, therefore it is likely there will be a hustle and bustle especially on Saturdays. The road from downtown is bumpy and potholed.

Reviewed By 653stephenkThis is the third different hotel we have stayed at in Gitega. This one is the best. The price is very affordable. The food decent (we ate breakfast and dinner here). The rooms are very clean and quiet. The outdoor pool seemed nice but we didn't get in. The wifi is fair by Burundian standards. The staff are eager to help.

Reviewed By Hart PI enjoyed facilitating my training in this Hotel the whole week the training hall is spacious with a dedicated staff staying all through to ensure that nothing goes wrong interms of Soud and Connectivity the food was also amazing well prepared and a variety. The restaurant has an amazing view of the city.

i never got why this place is known!
Reviewed By Nader Bthe place is quite known, many friends went there and told me about it, i never really understood this place! it looks old, like really old, the pool is small and also old. i am vegetarian so the only thing i could eat was spaghetti! as for the location, it is just on the airport road, no view or nothing, not on the lake even ( close to the lake), the area around it isn't considered as a real "secure" area... i don't recommend it... maybe getting old!

East African Hotel is really a hotel, built on millennium rocks on the river of Tanganyika Lake (second deepest lake in the world) and located near the historical places "Borton & Speke" at Nyanza-Lac Commune in Makamba province at the foot of Burundi (Southern - West). It is a natural freshness that surrounds the hotel.
Great value, rooms are basic, food decent
Reviewed By MRSlowLorisThis hotel is a large compound, located on the lake with beautiful views. The wifi is very slow and the restaurant open to the public so it gets crowded and expect long wait times for your food. The pool had no water and overall services are limited. However - for the price you pay this is excellent value and an overall safe place with good views, decent food. Its the best option in Nyanza-Lac but I would not deliberately come here if I am not already in the area. I would stay again.
