Nice for a short stay - good price - value
Reviewed By GudnarIf you need an hotel room in Boa Vista just for one or a couple of nights, this will be a nice price-benefit option. Hotel is conveniently located in the downtown, not so far from airport, main square and river. Rooms are very - very small but clean. Cable TV and AC worked fine. Complimentary Breakfast is included and served with some local natural juices as a choice (it will be OK for two-days stay..). Internet access is complimentary also and the speed is OK considering that you are in middle of the Amazonas. Remember that you are almost entering into the Brazilian jungle, so expect some insects as visitors in your room. There is in the lobby a small grocery stand with snacks, beer and soft drinks. Front desk personnel was helpful and friendly. Overall: Nice and friendly.

Reviewed By Camilo de Lélis LThis is a very simple hotel situated a bit far from the airport, but a half distance between downtown and the International bus station. The apartments are large, but very basic, with no breakfast. For what it offers, it may be considered a bit expensive, but normally within the prices practiced in Boa Vista. It is safe, although being located in a poor suburb.

Very good things and very bad things
Reviewed By JoseF468First the positive things about the hotel: 1. Location-Excellent location right in center of the city. There is a place to eat right across the street and in the street behind there is like a new food court with different small places where you can eat or have a beer. 2. Swimming pool-it has a very nice swimming pool with a bar and very cold beers at reasonable prices. 3. Employees-very attentive employees always willing to help. 4. Room air contidioner-new air conditioner in the room. 5. Breakfast- very good breakfast with several choices. Excellent bread. Negative things: 1. Beds-these are very small. 2. Blankets-even though beds are very small, blankets are even smaller. 3. Refrigerator-right at the entrance of the room there is an executive fridge on top of a table making the already very small room to look even smaller. This fridge could be located in the closet. 4. Night stands and desk- these pieces of furniture seems to have at least 50 years old; and in all those years have not seen any paint. 5. Bathroom-the size of the bathroom is OK, however a very poor distribution. When you sit on the toilet, you face a plastic wall of the shower stall. I am 6 feet tall and my knees touch the plastic wall while trying to do my thing. Terrible. 6. Shower-in the shower stall there is an electrical breaker at chest height that receives all the water from the shower. This breaker is to turn on the water heater on. Extremely scary. I did not dare to touch it. 7. Lobby-there is a wall lamp broken and hanging from a cable. There is no roof lamps but naked bulbs in the sockets. This hotel needs some TLC. With not too much money it could be a much better place to stay.

Very Disappointed
Reviewed By Trevor Brian PI stayed at the hotel for the night of August 15, 2015. Checked in around 3:30 pm. Please note that 15 years prior ( 2000 ) I had stayed there for two nights. It was like stepping back in time. Nothing had changed. The hotel is very shabby, inside and out and our room (# 27 on the third floor) smelled of pee. The mattress was razor thin and covered in some type of plastic material. As it was we felt every board under the bed and the so called fitted sheets kept sliding off. Our group of 4 were just passing through however as as we were very tired after 28 hours of traveling via Guyana and did not want to go searching for another hotel. Hotel Ideal is very centrally located however and the breakfast which is included was okay.

Cheap and honest
Reviewed By Rafael LIt is a good and cheap option in Boa vista, you can´t ask too much for R$ 80,00, is very near the airport, has parking and easy access to the road to the Guiana's. They don´t service breakfast, and there are no dinnig options near by, so make sure to come with a full stomach!
