Kolimvithra Beach

I instantly fell in love with this beach for its character, the boho chic style of the umbrellas and the beach bar, the long natural and un-spoilt part of 2km beach spreading after the bar. Some sharp stairs are leading down the beach from the road where you can park your car on the side. Stairs are painted in colourful paint, and decorated in a boho chic island way. Going down the stairs, you face the beautiful golden sand and the long beach. One part of it on the right has a small beach bar where one can order food or drinks. The umbrellas on this part have an amazing wavy shape giving you a sense of being at the smurfs village. If you keep walking towards the left side of the beach, you will find yourselves in a very big area with nice quality of golden sand, to put your towels and lay down being one with nature, without noises or people (people usually gather in the first part of the beach around the beach bar). The sea is usually wavy, making some huge waves, for playful times. There is even a surf rental area where you can get some surfing lessons or just rent a surf board. Enjoy!!

One of the best sandy beaches of the island that you should definitely visit. You can choose between the beach bar or a place under the trees. It is highly recommended during north winds.
