Grand Beach Provincial Park

First time for our teenage kids and my first time since I was 5 to visit this amazing beach and park. Beautiful clean soft white sand beach. It wasn’t a windy day so the water was calm, clean and only a few dead fish flies. Great to see how busy it was on a Tuesday! It’s such a great place for families of all ages. The boardwalk was great, water spigots so you could wash the sand from your feet before walking around. Full size outdoor showers at the site where the very clean bathrooms were(3 places along the length of the beach)Food, drink and ice cream places on the west side of the beach were great. Lots of food for decent prices. There are also shops where you can buy everything from beach toys, chairs, sunglasses, bathing suits, suntan lotion and more. Was able to rent a lounge chair for the day (40$ deposit 5$ rental fee) as we were visiting from out of province and didn’t have any. They also rent umbrellas and volleyballs. If you are looking for a great place to spend the day on a beach this is the number one choice. No local cottagers looking down on you for invading their beach. 5$ day pass to entre the park, lots of parking, lifeguards, clean!

Split into 2 beaches one normal then walk right and you have a dog friendly beach. I feel is the better one. Love the area lots of toilets and a nice safe area On holiday in winnipeg so it's only about 1 hour drive from winnipeg. And you see a bit more of what Canada is all about. Well worth a visit

When the crowds are getting too much this cozy beach is a great place to get away to and avoid the dense crowds found at other beaches.

Gimli Beach

Reviewed By BlueCarRoadTripper - Winnipeg, Canada

I really didn’t know what to expect when I decided to take a drive here ... wow !!! The beach is spectacular and breathtaking!! Good parking is available. I walked the length of the beach over to the pier where you can walk out. The pier has some great artwork painted along the wall which is interesting to view. The beach looks really clean and looked after. Not much people because it was a bit chilly outside and windy. The lake is just amazing and it was very relaxing sitting on the benches listening to the waves. Summer must be amazing here with warmer water and weather.
