Very affordable drinks and always a great, welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of games to play on rainy days and just a really great set up in the center of town. Live music nights are always lots of fun!

The Rooftop Bar at the Mad Monkey Hostel Kampot boasts a 360 degree view overlooking Kampot, Bokor Mountain, Phu Quoc Island(Vietnam), and the surrounding mountainsides. The best sunsets in Kampot can be viewed as the sun sets behind Bokor Mountain and all of the pinks, purples, and oranges of the clouds reflect off of the Kampot River below. Downstairs, we have a full restaurant, bar, and pool.

Mad monkey Kampot, is a very special place. Apart from being a beautiful and clean place to stay. The staff really do make the difference. We initially booked 2 days and ended up staying 8 nights. If we had the time we would have stayed an extra 8 nights. The reception staff will go out of their way to help you. Ah pich helped us book buses and change our dates for the bus. Sokea helped us organise out laundry. So kun gave us fresh towels whenever we asked for them and Sophen gave us some excellent discounts for extending our stay. Apart from that Tiger and all of the bar staff treated us like family. The reps, Nina, Jack and Callum were leave available and ran the most informative and fun tours. I'm really sad to leave Kampot mostly because of the beautiful people at this hostel. Thank you Mad Monkey for a wonderful stay. Ruby from Australia.

Lovely bar from walking distance from old market area, right next to the Kampot riverside, with good music, delicious cocktails and great people who will make you feel like home. Open every day from 6pm until late, and every Monday is a party day!
