ALTER is an immersive virtual reality art center created by internationally-renowned artists Flatsitter and David Patrick Mitchell. For the past three years, the artists have been collaborating with dozens of Oaxacan artists, actors, writers, and musicians to create a series of intense and visceral virtual reality artworks. These VR "journeys" through vivid dreamscapes are inspired by simulated realities and the ancient knowledge of the Central Valley in Oaxaca. Espacio Panoplia is a place that emerges as a community and multidisciplinary rural workshop in San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya, Zapotec population of the Tlacolula Valley.
